I suppose that makes sense. I know from personal experience that too few
calories can be dangerous, though, depending on the person. I did

SlimFast
when I was 15, I needed to lose about 30 pounds, and I abused the program.
I skipped breakfast, had a shake for lunch and a shake for dinner. I lost
15 pounds in 2 weeks, and I ended up fainting at school. I had never
fainted before, I was inside in an air-conditioned room, not out in the
sun, and I didn't have a cold or the flu or anything.

Now I am 27, and therefore slightly less stupid. By the time I'm 90 maybe
I'll only be a tiny bit stupid.

Oh, OT, talking of stupid, my 5 year old nephew was running backwards. He
said "Look, Aunt Michelle, I'm running backwards!" Then he crashed into
the dining room table, fell down, and started crying. I was very "JC"
about it, I looked at him calmly and said "See, that's what happens when
you run backwards." Then I told him to eat less and exercise more . . .

Default Diet - It's a four-letter word

JC some of us got fat by overeating slightly over a LONG period of time, and
not exercising. Our bodies really really want to hang on to that poundage.

Some of us--most of us-- have sick metabolisms. At this point it doesn't
matter if we ruined our metabolisms or they were just fouled up naturally.

I for one have thyroid problems. I have one sister who had to take
radioactive iodine and now subsists on synthetic thyroid. I expect I will
too one day.

I was in the process of what I thought was a heart attack a few years ago,
and the emergency room thought it was an asthma attack. (I ended up
hyperventaliting.) It took an endocrinologist to explain after the fact that
it was a thyroid problem.

I know that if I were to exercise more I would jumpstart my metabolism, but
I am exhausted all of the time.

HOW LONG you are overweight (assuming not EXSTREME obesity) determines how

attacks
and
other weight related problems are cause by not eating enough,

right?
On
the
other hand, you could be just rationalizing (making excuses for)

your
fat****edness.

Default Diet - It's a four-letter word

You have all the rationalizations down pat, so go ahead and stay fat. It's
not really that big of a deal to me. :-)

being overweight is not more or less unhealthy. it is simply unhealthy.

HOW LONG you are overweight (assuming not EXSTREME obesity) determines how
unhealthy it becomes for you in the long run.

How many people DIE each your of belemia ?

I will await your answer.

Yes, I'm sure that not eating enough would be much worse for you than

being
obese. Isn't that what most people die from? All those heart attacks and
other weight related problems are cause by not eating enough, right? On

the
other hand, you could be just rationalizing (making excuses for) your
fat****edness.

probably from either not eating enough. Mal Nutrition or overwork.

The prisoners of war ate almost only carbohydrates, as

was

supply.

ooops forgot the point.

eating less willkeep you fromGAINING weight.

will NOT help you lose weight in almost all cases.

the trick is not how much you eat but WHAT you eat for

msot
people.

I'm sure you got fat eating a cabbage leaf per day. You
certainly
must
be
the exception to the rule, because you are special. You

would
have
been
the
one prisoner of war in a Japanese concentration camp

that
came
out
a
big
sloppy mess. If only you had been there to prove your

point.

prove it.

according to an atkins diet eating less may NOT be the

way
to
lose
weight.

I on average before this diet ate LESS than the

average
this
person.
LESS
per day.

I am 6'3" 365 pounds.

Explain that to me.

you did not say Excercise more. you said EAT LESS AND
EXCERCISE
MORE.

I agree more excercise will probably help me. but

eatling
less
did
nothing.
I stayed the SAME weight for nearly 5 years.

SO are you deaf and blind is the question?

The most effective way to lose weight is to eat less
