BJ---no kidden? Hmmm. Well, I had blood drawn yesterday, too and should
receive the results in a day or two.

I have lots of diabetes on both sides of the family...and my last blood
sugar, before I started LCing WAS somewhat elevaed.

Um. No such thing as a little bit diabetic : (

Doug--roger wilco on the vitamin C and the calcium.

I hadnt thought about it, but I USED to drink milk daily and OJ three or
so tmes a week...and havent eaten anything with C in it except the
occassional slice of bell pepper in a salad for almost three months. I
do take a multi every day (well, most every day) but that doesnt have
nearly enough C...or cal.

But, Im on top of it now.

Thanks

"Wow...thats a little above what they say is normal", when I read the
blood report. hat was one of the reasons I decided to try LC. The blood
test I had yesterday will hopefully, be much lower. I'll post the
reslts when I get them.

Yes, I was fasting yesterday and the previou tme..

At first I was feeling this was TMI. However, in true form ASDLC has
provided a number of ideas and options.

I buy my timed release vitamin C from a company called Freeda. By using
timed release one can up the dosage without overdose symptoms, up to a
point.

If C really does trigger your herpes, there are anti-herpes pills available.

Lass Chance,

Before you let him yank those molars, get a second opinion from another
dentist, possibly one who does implants.

There's a lot of variation in how dentists deal with gum disease. Be
sure to check out all your options before you do something irreversible.

Also, be aware that gum disease can raise blood sugars and bring out
diabetes, so treating it should help your blood sugar.

Excess calcium can cause problems like kidney stones and an imbalance in
other minerals like magnesium.

My dad went from just barely detectible problems one year to
severe bone loss the next year, so it happens.

By chance he told my brother the veterinarian and asked if
there's any animal treatment for such a problem. My brother
suggested he start taking 3000-4000 mg of oyster shell
calcium daily for a year. That's a few tablets at every
meal plus at bedtime.

Within a year half of dad's bone loss had reversed and the
dentist through it was a miracle. Two year later it was
all reversed and he's since tapered off to 1000-1500 mg
daily to maintain.

3000-4000 is a very large dosage, and oyster shell calcium
is perhaps the least absorbable type. But Dad's body was
calcium deficient so his body did absorb it.

Saying this helped my Dad isn't saying it will help you,
but calcuim supplements aren't toxic even in large dosages.
It may be worth a try to take several times the normal
dosage.
