interesting...
I just went in and looked at my weight change history in fitday. I've been
wanting to lose the 5 lbs I gained since my layoff... But it seems that I have lost and gained those 5 lbs about 4 times in the last year. Is this what they call yo-yo dieting? Or is this just normal fluctuation in weight? I'm assuming that it is normal, and it makes me feel good that even with all the transistions I've gone through, my weight has remained relatively static through it all. det |

For comparison, my swing is 6 pounds. Is this what they call yo-yo dieting? No. Yo-yo is when you quit one diet and gain it back, then start dieting again. Or is this just normal fluctuation in weight? It's normal but it is NOT fluctuation of weight. Water retention happens our entire lives whether we watch it or not, but it is a very bad idea to accuse this no-change-whatsoever as either gain or loss. |
