Try eggbeaters, taste good and you get more for one point, Lee

No soy because I don't like the taste I will have to investigate
scrambled egg options - poached and boiled are getting boring.... Thanks

Let's see...

Peanut butter on toast
breakfast bar
scrambled eggs

Just out of curiosity, why no soy?

I went to see a naturopath last week, just for something different to

do.
I'm not entirely convinced I believe everything she said, but I

figured
no
harm can come from giving some things a try. Amongst the things she
recommended is that I should minimise dairy. I liked the idea as it

might
help with the constant nasal drip I have too.

I can substitute the cheese at lunch with tinned salmon (gets in my

fish,
and calcium with the bones), and the yoghurt for afternoon tea with

some
almonds and dried fruit. But I'm having trouble coming up with a
replacement for cereal and milk in the mornings. I can do baked beans

on
toast, and boiled or poached eggs. After that I'm stuck. I don't

like
soy
milk (or any other soy product) either, so that cuts out some other

options.
Anyone got any other ideas for some variety? It needs to happen in 5
minutes or less - I don't want to have to wake up half an hour earlier

just
to get breakfast ready! It's winter here too - warm things are good

We make the long cooking kind in the micro. It is 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1 c
water, five minutes in micro, ad fruit or sweetener, Lee

Vegemite? Pretty much the national breakfast Down Under, isn't it? I

have
no idea how many pts it is, but can't be many.

Vegemite it zero points (woo hoo!), and I just had it on toast with my
poached eggs. Yummy

Low-fat breakfast sausage or turkey bacon and toast

Ham sandwich made with low-fat ham (or a turkey or chicken sandwich --
there's no law that says breakfast has to be breakfast foods)

These are good ideas. I need a protein source that isn't eggs or beans

for
breakfast. I'll go se what's available.

Oatmeal -- the instant or quick-cooking kind

Don't you need milk for this? I've never been a big oatmeal fan, but I
could try it I guess.

Also. check the WW recipe exchange board -- there are several recipes

for
Breakfast Cookies.

Will do. Thanks Anny.

the same brand as the 1 point dinner rolls you get, wal-mart, Meijers and
Jewels, be careful there is a full lead version for three points, Lee

I still wish we could find 1 point English Muffins in my area, but they do

not
seem to exist. Oh well, 2 point 100% whole wheat is the next best option

I guess.

I just remembered another thing I like that is fairly quick. Not sure

if
they are available in your part of the world though.

I take 2 veggie breakfast sausages and heat them in the microwave, then

take
and egg and stir it up for scramble. When the sausages are partly

heated
I
crumble them in the egg and microwave the two together. It makes a

hearty
sausage and egg scramble and it quite tasty. It comes in at about 3

points
for the two sausages and the one egg.

Nope, not a one. But we have many other brands of lower point breads,

almost too
many to choose from - so maybe they figure their own brand won't sell

well
here?

Yeah, that is possible. We only got the WW bread a few months ago.

Pathmark
had it but not Shoprite or Stop and Shop. Could not find it here at

mom's
at first so I settled on the Stop & Shop brand of low fat wheat bread.

Same
as WW: 2 slices for 1 point. I did find their hamburger rolls (for boca
burgers at lunch) and english muffins. I keep them in the freezer so the
pack will last forever. They also have a very very small supply of it and

I
need to catch it at the right time or they are all out of it.

My bread of choice is the Sara Lee Delightful - 2 slices = 1 point.

Healthy Life
is also good and they also make hamburger and hot dog buns ... Wonder

Lite, as
well as several labeled low carb varieties (which I don't pay much

attention to).
We seem to have quite a few of the major brands, and ww name products

never have
seemed to sell well in the past. I don't recall seeing any stores locally

carry
any of their products now.
