Default Low-Carb $6 Burger

My husband just picked one of these up for me at Carl's Jr. It was very
tasty, although heavy on the ketchup. I think next time I will order it
with bacon and no ketchup and add some of my Walden Farms BBQ sauce instead.

For some reason, when ordered as a combo, they pack it with onion rings,
which promptly went in the trash. I've emailed CKE Inc and suggested they
give a small salad instead.

Other than that, it was great, easier to eat with the lettuce wrap and
yummy!

Nope, which is why I was baffled at the amount of ketchup on it.

It was full on regular carb, sugar laden ketchup and lots of it.

Luckily, most of it dripped out and onto my shirt =)

So far, no - but if we start lobbying for it we might well get some
burger places to start carrying it. I believe that Heinz will come
out with their low carb ketchup starting in February, and a lot of
these places already are using standard Heinz brand ketchup. If so,
they might be placing large enough orders to get price breaks on
related items, or persuade Heinz to make it available in
single-serving packets and so on. (I am =guessing= that it will not
be available that way in the beginning, but would be delighted to be
proven wrong.) It might be kept behind the counter and only made
available if you asked for it, but that would be fine with me.

Hardee's and Carl's are essentially the same thing, so the thickburger
low-carb style should be the same as our $6 burger out west =)

I ordered one today, and they asked me if I would like an apple pie with
it.

LOL
