Default "butternut" flavor (not squash... donuts.)

Does anyone know how to describe the flavor of a Dunkin Donuts Butternut
donut? (Or better yet, know exactly what ingredients are in the coating?)
They used to be my husband's favorite, and he's been missing them lately.
I'd like to try to make him something that resembles the flavor, if I knew
what the flavor was. (When I asked, he said "It's ... butternut flavor.")

I guess sesame oil and butter would do it plus a little sweetener like
splenda. More butter than oil.

This is pretty close ... it works for those baked good cravings.

Butternut is just another word for butter scotch and carmel.

DaVinci has caramel and butterscotch sugar free syrups. It sounds possible to
make LC donuts and adding these flavors.

Sesame oil? We must be thinking of different butternuts...
