Food & Exercise -- 10/30/2005
A fairly typical Monday -- gym, then work, with lunchtime walk. (It
was another gorgeous day -- cloudless, high in the low 70s.) I came home early to avoid being on the road after dark when the trick-or-treaters are out. Food: * 7:30 (driving to gym): ready-to-drink chocolate protein shake * 9:45 (work, brought from home): 2 hard-boiled eggs * 12:00 (work, brought from home): salad w/ 1 cup greens, grape tomatoes, mushrooms, shredded carrots, 3 slices torn-up f/f cheese, 100g Healthy Choice turkey breast, 3 tbsp f/f balsamic vinaigrette * 1:45 (work, from a Halloween spread put on by the building management): 1 cup fruit punch (I'd say half and half orange juice & ginger ale); 4 small cookies * 4:00 (on the way out, from the same spread, which was -- surprisingly -- still there): 1 small cookie * 6:45 (home): 1/4 cup (uncooked weight) quinoa w/ 140g shrimp & some reduced fat homemade pesto sauce (about 1 tbsp each of olive oil & pine nuts, & 5g grated cheese) * 8:30 (home): 1 bite-sized peanut butter cup; 1 snack-size Hershey bar (Halloween candy) Totals: 1494 calories, 53g fat (32%), 145g carbs (39%), 111g protein (30%) -- Not a lot of calories, but kind of a lot of sugar. Exercise: 8:00 -- Upper body * Chins: 3 x (1 + 4 partials) * Bench: 1x10x45; 1x5x65; 3x5x75 * Incline bench: 1x15x45 * Decline bench: 1x15x65 * Machine-assisted pull-ups, parallel grip: 1x10x27.5 * Bent over rows w/ barbell: 1x15x45; 1x15x65; 1x15x85 * Cable flyes: 1x15x30; 1x11x30 * Seated DB shoulder press: 1x12x17.5s; 1x10x20s * Seated DB overhead triceps extension: 1x8x40 * Standing DB biceps curls: 1x12x20s 12:15 -- 3.5 mile brisk walk Chris 262/130s/130s started dieting July 2002, maintaining since June 2004 |
