Your first decade is the years from birth-10, the second 11-20, etc. Want
to talk about the millenium which started in 2001? Unlike counting ages, the first year of which is 0 and ends when you turn 1, the year 1 started the count of modern time so that the first decade ended at the end of 10 or New Year's Day of year 11. In , 2-Phat stated | NOOOOOOO!!!!! My 5th?????? Get out! I'm only counting by 10's. | 10, 20, 30, 40! | | Don't make me older, but then again I'm looking exceptional for 50! | | "FOB" wrote in message | m... || Sorry to rock your world but when you turn 40 you will be entering || your 5th || decade. || || In , || 2-Phat stated ||| Well I didn't make a resolution this year and I did not start Low ||| Carb (or I should say re start) on January 1, 2005 as I didn't want ||| the cliché or stigma of the New Year Resolution Gang. ||| ||| I re stared on December 30, 2004!!! ||| ||| For those that are old timers here, I'm Desi. SO here I am back on ||| this WOE/WOL and doing just fine, not making excuses and just ||| saying NO to those bad carbs. ||| ||| For those that find themselves slipping or can't get back on the ||| wagon or have doubts about the second, third, fourth, or even fifth ||| time around, IT is possible to re start, you just have to want it ||| and be resolute in your heart and soul and your mind will follow. ||| ||| What I've done also this time is break my goal up so things won't ||| seem overwhelming to me. My first goal is to get to 220, then 190, ||| then 175 and a new all time low of 160. After 160 on low carb then ||| I'm going to take up weight training to reach my ultimate goal of ||| maybe 140-130. No, I have thyroid issues! Nothing helps my memory ;-) My oldest is always
taking advantage of me!!! But that seems accurate as I remember more of the season vs. the actual year. I knew it had to be a winter time frame. But hey, it's great to be here, great ASDLC is here and life is just great!!! "Carmen" wrote in message ... Hi, On 4-Jan-2005, "2-Phat" wrote: Are you sure, 96? I seem to remember a lot of people in ASD and many battles with 'Judy' then me and a few others writing to our prospective ISP to add ASD-LC. The start of 1997 is when my ISP finally added ASD-LC to the line up. IF it was 96, it was Nov/Dec then and I was still on ASD. But hey, the point is, it's here! Yeah, no time like the NOW to start anything. ASDLC started in February of 1998, if that helps the memory. :-) Take care, Carmen |

Thanks for reading and still being here! Glad to see you're back. I'm new here and I'm posting because my story is identical. It was a coincidence, but I had started Low-carb on Dec 30th as well. For no particular reason but the time was right. There are some good people here. I also met the local asshole As it is, I'm a week into this and had not had any serious problem. Seems I dropped a ton of water, so I'm cautious about being happy still. I do like this way of eating so I plan to push on. Wish you have great success with your goals.
