Of course, but since we're talking about fonts, the fact remains
that the browser (typically) uses the text-rendering routines
provided by the operating system. The browser just says "paint
the string blahblahblah in font zxcvasdfqwer at coordinates
x,y within my window".

Of course different browsers treat it differently if the operating
system does not have the requested font, but the reality is that
whether or not the font exists (and thus will look mostly like
what the author recommended) depends on the operating system, not
the browser.

In any case, this is a bit of a silly argument.. :-)

idea what Macs do.


Considering MOST macs are unix based IF they are running in X .. ahem
.... guess it wouldn't matter

Oh and in 9, they do what a browser is supposed to do

no actually I lost 40 lbs on atkins. I'm just winding down to my goal of
185 (i'm 6'0)


very cool, my boyfriend and I started, he's lost 25 lbs ( nearly at his goal)
and Im at almost 30, a few more for me. Easiest thing ever. This board has
been very informative yo.
