Do you have an outdoor grill? If so I'd avoid fish or beef on the
Foreman. The odor of those items cooking indoors can ruin a good meal.
You may also find that the next time you use the grill you will still
smell those odors as the grill preheats.

I'd also avoid cooking meats that are marinated as the sauces will burn
quickly and and leave you with a tough mess to clean up. The grill
can't be submerged so soaking can't be done and trying to simply wipe
burnt items from the cooking surface is difficult.

Seasoned chicken, pork and vegetables come out quite good as well as
grilled sandwiches.

I have one and love it for cooking chicken breasts. I normally
marinate them, cook and freeze in single serving bags for later use.
I've only cooked ground beef on it a few times but it works well for
them, too.

Do a google and I think you'll find some good GF grill recipes.

I've grilled fish repeatedly on my GF grill and never had a problem. Make
sure you use fresh fish and clean it right away and no trouble there.. (also
put it over the stove so you can use the fan to keep the whole house from
smelling but that's also true for pan cooking !)

Same thing with marinated meats and chicken. I grill everything on that
thing.

The trick to cleaning it easy is that when you're done grilling, unplug the
thing and put a soaked papertowel in it, close and let the steam do its
work.

Once you're done eating it's easy to clean.

now I have the one that you can remove the grilling plates and soak them so
it's even easier.

I'm wondering what you use your grill for. Seems like you can't do a thing
with it.. p

I use my olive oil sprayer to coat the grill with a little oil before using
it. That way it's easy to clean no matter what I cook in it.

Whole asparagus spears come out really nice using the grill!

I've done chicken, pork chops, beef patties (don't shrink as badly as on a
regular grill or in a pan), and shrimp (a little butter spray and sprinkle
of kosher salt). Clean up is great, my sister got me the one with the
removable grill plates so I can pop them off and put them in the dishwasher.

I'll have to try the asparagus, squash, & grilled cheese sammies!

I guess you're right. I've had mine for probably 3-4 years and I guess
I'm using it less and less.

I like most meats and fish cooked to their minimum safe temperature,
juicy and tender. That means I need to sear them quickly at a high
temperature then finish the cooking at a much lower temperature. The GF
grill doesn't let me do this at all since it's at a constant setting.
In addition, by design the heavy lid basically squeezes the juice from
the meat. I find the outdoor BBQ allows me much more cooking freedom
and let's me adjust times and temperatures.

I still use it for quick meals like I mentioned above (chicken, boneless
pork chops, vegetables and sandwiches). If I have more time, I'll pan
sear then bake.

Oh, I know. I use it as a pre-cooker. If I'm making a pasta sauce for
instance I will butterfly, brown and degrease sausage or pepperoni with
the GF grill then slice it and add it to the slow cooking pasta sauce.

Chris Braun can tell you all about it...

I'm not really much of an authority on any sort of cooking, but we use
our GF grill a lot. I do my turkey burgers on it, and typically grill
some chicken or salmon to put in the salads that I take to work for
lunch. (The turkey burgers work well when grilled frozen, but other
things work better when thawed first, so the outside doesn't get
overdone.) We also do steaks on them. Unlike someone else wrote
here, I find it works quite well for preparing things rare -- and it's
nice to just be able to lift up the top and cut into the meat or fish
to see if it's done.
