Default November 5, 2005 - Food & Exercise

It seems like I spent most of the day running errands. My daughter and I
had breakfast at the MetroParks Second Street Market. They have a bulk food
vendor where I buy my flax seed and seven grain cereal (oats + other
grains). Next on our stop was the bike shop to pick up a new bike computer.
Mine got wet a couple weeks ago and finally quit working. Next stop was
Trader Joe's to pick up Greek yogurt and a few other items I normally buy
there. Last stop was Lowe's to purchase some shelving for the walk-in
closet for sweater storage.

Granddaughters #2 and #4 helped me in the yard this afternoon. We finished
cleaning out the raised flower/vegetable beds and spread weed preventor. I
did the strawberry beds as the girls get a little careless when pulling
weeds.

Breakfast (2nd Street Market): 2 scrambled eggs on Ciabatta bread with thin
slice of Canadian bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.

Late Lunch (local steak house): Salad (mixed lettuces, onions, tomatoes,
cucumbers, beets, banana peppers and sunflower seeds) with 1T blue cheese
dressing, 6 oz grilled salmon, 1/2 baked potato skin (that's the only part I
like), 1/4 cup chocolate pudding cake with 1/4 cup ice milk and a bite-size
cream puff.

Dinner (home): 6 oz fresh pineapple, Boca cheeseburger on whole wheat with
onion and deli mustard

Total calories: 1282
Fat 58g 41%
Carbs 111g 30%
Protein 91g 29%

Exercise: Lots of walking today. 2 hours of yard work. I put one shelf
together and put it in the closet. I keep saying I'm going to buy a
cordless screwdriver each time I do a job like this.
