Default Six Hundred Days

Well, my weight has been oscillating between 80.5 and 81.5 kg since the
beginning of the year, after having dipped to 78.8 kg on Dec 31st. But
today I am at least happy to report that it is Day 600 of my diet. SIX
HUNDRED days without going off my diet even one time.

It's too bad I'm stuck at this weight, but it is much better than my
original 125 kg at least!

wonderful news, do you think you might consider you are no longer on a
"diet" in the traditional sense anymore and that you have actually moved to
the way of eating or lifestyle change that best suits you? Lee so pleased
for you

I agree with Lee. This is your lifestyle, now and forever. You may not
be stuck at this weight forever. It may involve different types of
exercise but don't change what you eat because it is working so well for
you.

On the one hand I agree with you - I'm basically "just used to this way
of eating now".

On the other hand, I still feel like I am "actively dieting" - still
journaling every little thing I eat and meticulously counting calories.

An interesting thing happened today. I accidentally fell back on one of
my old, automatic, self-effacing comments about being fat. But it was
with a person I met for the first time.

We met at a cafe in Shibuya to discuss some possible new business for
my company and I made some remark about how some item in his catalog
"with a slimming effect" was just what I needed. He just looked at me
with a sort of puzzled look on his face.

kinda says you have the numbers and calories under control so now you have
to do the head work to make it all match, bet you felt good when you
realized you don't need slimming effects now, Lee

and I forgot, my WOE will always include journaling and counting, I don't
ever see a time when it will just be in my head, losing or maintaining this
is who I am now and how I eat/live now, Lee
