Default Skinny Cow?

I bought some LC ice cream bars this weekend. 3g carbs per bar. I think the
brand was Skinny Cow or something like that. I can't check because I tossed
them after the first on. Yuck. No flavor, weird sort of fluffy, icy texture.
Not creamy at all.

FYI

The only flavor I could find was Chocolate Peanutbutter. They are kind of
'fluffy'. However, they had the lowest Sugar Alcohol content of all the
brands available in my store. 1g/4-oz vs an average of 5g/3-oz for the
others.

OK for an occaisonal treat. :-)

You just threw them out?
Sorry, I cant fathom that. I was taught against wasting food, and would have
tried my best to give them away or something.

Yeah but this wasn't food. Next time I have something like that I can mail
it to you if you like.

Well to each his own, eh. Glad you found something you can treat yourself
with.
I'm new at this and don't understand Sugar Alcohol and what that means.
Good luck to you, Steve.

Well, that is how I kept on putting off starting the LC WOE. I
was also taught not to throw away food. Hmmm. Could that
possibly be correlated with overeating????? g

I've bought entire cakes from a deli -- eaten once slice and threw the rest
away.

Wasting food is not as important as protecting me.

Is not making your body process it really "wasting" it anyway? Wasting money,
yes. But food will either end up in the garbage or the toilet. The only
difference being food in the trash has no chance of making you fat! ;-)

For many, myself included, the consumption of sugar alcohols results in gas
and other 'gastric disorders', when the body tries to digest them. Others
have no problem with SA's in any quantity.

So the SA content of a product is very important to me, having learned the
hard way. :-) I can tolerate small quantities of some products, but even
one Carb-o-lite jelly bean and it's a jet propelled trip to the little room
at the end of hall for an extended stay. :-) (I'm not "putting down" those
jelly beans, just reporting my own reaction.)

Oh, SA's include Polyols; Sorbitol, Malitol, Lactitol, etc., and
Glycerin[sp?]. Not sure of the latter, as it always seems to be used in
combination with other SA's.

Have a good one,

Steve

Exactly. Given the choice, I'll trash the junk.

Believe it or not, but I've even thrown away an almost completely full tub
of almonds. Oh my Gawd!
