Thanks for the reply Richard. They do sound yummy...but do these have sugar
in them, or some artificial material? I'm not a fan of artificial sweeteners, would rather go without ice cream than but the variety that has that stuff in it. I wish someone would develop a fat free yogurt that simply has less sugar in it, rather than replacing all of it with aspertame. Yoplait, are you listening??? KD "Richard" wrote in message ... I think, UNFORTUNATELY, that they are TERRIFIC (G)
They do not taste artificial from my perspective. Like Richard, they are generally about $5.00 (US) for 6 sandwiches and they are on sale occasionally. Last week, $3.50. I tried one of the other brands that used, I think, Splenda and did not like them at all, it might have been Klondike??? It did have an aftertaste. Oh, Costco had an 18 pack (3 packages of 6 items) for around $9.00 (US) Chocolate and Vanilla I did not find actual ingredients but may have missed them but they do have nutritional info. http://www.skinnycow.com/products.htm On Thu, 18 Mar 2004 21:09:35 GMT, "KD" wrote: I read several posts about this here, they sound terrific. So I checked 'em out at the local Sobeys the last time I went grocery shopping,! Didn't try them though - here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, it's nearly $7 for five of them! I left 'em there and got fudgesicles instead. So tell the truth folks - are they really worth it? My husband really likes ice cream sandwiches, so he'd probably like those. But over $1 each, yikes! I might try Costco and see if I can get a better deal there... KD |

Personally, I think they are very well worth every penny. Here in the states, I
pay somewhere around $5 for a package of 6 sandwiches. Sometimes they are on sale, buy one get one free or for $3.50 ... this is usually when I stock up. I've tried several other brands. All are similar, but none are as good as the skinny cow brand. Everyone in my family loves them, hub, and even the teenagers. Fred has been able to find them in his Costco, yet mine doesn't carry them. We only have the healthy choice brand sandwiches ... which definitely taste like artificial sweetener. Have him read the label again. I just dragged my stiff body
downstairs and read the very fine print in good light and did not see sucrolose (sucralose?). I did see cellulose twice, fructose corn syrup and sugar listed. This was the mint sandwiches. I can't help with the Skinny Cow ingredients, but I can help with the
translations. Splenda equals Sucralose. Nutrasweet equals aspartame. -- Julie. 93.5/72.3/74 (WW)/72 (Personal) kg 205.7/159.0/162.8 (WW)/158 (Personal) lb Here's our FAQ: http://www.didian.com/asdww/ and welcome notice: http://www.geocities.com/welcomenotice/index.html "Miss Violette" wrote in message ... I will ask him to look at the grocery tonight or tomorrow and get back to
you, we don't have any in the house right now, I don't get them very often, truth is when we do get them I eat a couple and he eats the rest as I lose interest fast enough they would get freezer burnt if it were up to me to finish them off.
