While I was leafing through, I came across a recipe for deviled eggs (several recipes, actually) and I was in the kitchen boiling water before I knew what hit me. Chakolate I like "Back to Protein" by Barbara Doyen. Almost 300 pages of recipes (plus appetizers, salad stuff and dressings, equipment sources, food sources, and carb counts) for beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, fish & seafood, eggs, and "exotic meats." It's from this book where I finally learned how to make GOOD scrambled eggs!! Highly recommended!! Honestly, I only own the book; I don't get kickbacks but this is my most used low-carb cookbook. As an aside, for making bacon I recommend the Makin' Bacon (www.makinbacon.com). Minimal cleanup, the bacon is great, and if you're into bacon grease here's an easy way to collect it. Jeff |
