Also, I don't know if you realized it or not, but in your progress

pictures
it looks like you posted a picture of yourself in the first one and a
picture of a younger sister in the second one. What a difference! Keep

up
the great work!

WOW! Thanks for that compliment, moonprincess! No one has ever said that
to me before, and I never did realize it until you mentioned it and I looked
at it again. That feels really great as I am a little over a month until my
big 4-0! LOL! I certainly don't mind looking younger!!!

Thanks, LCer! I used to feel like that, too, just buy the first thing that
looks halfway decent! I remember having my MIL make a dress for me that
looked great on the pattern package, but, of course, the model was WAY
thinner than me and on me the dress looked like hell.

Those days are GONE!

the
first time, I got a good look at how far I've come on this journey.

That is so cool! I'm so happy for you, and I'm happy that I can actually

say
that "I know what you mean" LOL! This week I bought the first piece of

clothing
I actually LIKE in a decade. Not the least expensive thing that fits and

isn't
completely horrible, but something I really, really like that looks good

too! I
had forgotten how that feels. It feels GOOD, LOL!

For the first time, I got a good look at how far I've come
on this
journey. Now, by no means would anyone call me 'skinny,'
though
sometimes my friends and family call me that. But I could
see myself
looking MUCH slimmer, healthier, and HAPPIER than this
time last
year. Almost a year ago to the day, I was in the same
store and I
bought women's size 26/28 and some 30/32. Last night,
14/16!! It
just really blows my mind!!!! :-O

You are doing wonderfully. I'm happy to hear that your now
have a way to recognize it for yourself.

What a WONDERFUL experience!

So I went ahead and BOUGHT those jeans (they'll fit perfectly soon enough!)
and those blouses (one pink and the other red). But, even better: I

Good for you!

I really feel grateful to all of you. If I hadn't found this support group,
I still would have been doing 'low carb,' but I don't think I would be as
far as I am now. So, big thanks to Carol Ann (for those wonderful
challenges), Saffire, Carol(Damsel), Jim, Roger, Curt, Cubit, DJ,
Ignoramous, and all you other ASDLC posters! And, also, to JC, wherever you
are. I'm not '100 pounds down' yet, but I'm very close. I'd bet you didn't
think I'd do it! ;-D

You're welcome! I'd like to throw in MY thanks, too (except to JC)!

I'll post pics of my new outfit on my site next week.

Looking forward to seeing them!

Exactly. One annoying FA person on another board keeps telling me that Layne
Bryant has some "beautiful clothes!" that I should have bought. Why? A tent is
a tent IMHO. I looked bad no matter what, so I just put on my big black clothes
and left it at that. And yes, every once in a while I would see something and
want to try it on because it looked nice. Which would make me even MORE
depressed because it never looked the way I wanted it to. No, I'm never going
back there again either. It's a sad, lonely, depressing place.
