Two to go for a happy dance ... eating lots of eggs, which I love but am getting tired of cooking. Does anyone have an idea for cubesteak that goes beyond frying them in onions? wrote: How much have you lost? How are you feeling? Share your menus.... One pound last week, for a total of, well, one pound so far this month. On the other hand, I seem to be losing inches amazingly. Stayed at size 20 for a long time (might have really been a 22 for part of that), but I went from 20 to 16 fast enough that I never bothered with size 18, and a couple of weeks ago realized that the size 16 jeans were too large and the size 14 ones fit well. And this week, the size 14 jeans are really on the large side. I can wear them, but if I were trying them on in the store, I wouldn't buy them because they're large. Unfortunately, I don't have any size 12 jeans around to see if those fit. I did find a pair of size 13 ones in my closet (apparently never worn), but those are still too small, alas. As for menus, my menu is pretty boring, but it works for me. I've been aiming at 1300 calories per day, since my goal weight is 130 pounds, and so (in theory) I should be able to stay at that level until I reach my goal. I'm at 40 to 45 grams carbohydrate per day. Breakfast: Low-carb yogurt (sometimes) Decaf coffee with heavy cream Lunch: Canned salmon with mayo and hard-boiled egg OR Low-carb tortilla with smoked salmon and 1/4 avocado or cream cheese OR Low-carb tortilla with sliced turkey and 2 slices microwave bacon and 1/4 avocado and 1 tsp mayonnaise Plus half a large pickle or 6 spears pickled asparagus Afternoon snack: Diet Jell-O Dinner: Romaine lettuce salad with red peppers and either vinaigrette dressing or Litehouse Lite Blue Cheese dressing 8 oz meat; fish or steak or pork or lamb, with some kind of condiment -- red pepper or Thai ginger or Szechuan Evening snack: Berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries), 4-8 oz., depending on how many carbs I have left Pistachios, 1/4 to 1/2 cup unshelled (actually, twice that, shelled), depending on how many carbs and calories I have left I used to have macadamia nuts in the evening, but Costco stopped carrying them, and they're too expensive everywhere else. I'd appreciate any comments on my basic meal plan. |
