Food:

Monday:
6:15 (driving to gym): ready-to-drink chocolate protein shake
8:15 (diner w/ Tom): 2 fried eggs; English muffin w/ butter; 8 oz.
grapefruit juice
10:15 (driving): 1/2 oz. trail mix
12:00 (driving): 1/2 oz. trail mix
1:30 (driving -- at a rest stop): sandwich w/ 2 slices whole wheat
bread, 3 oz. Healthy Choice ham, 2 slices f/f cheese, mustard
3:30 (driving): 1/2 oz. trail mix
5:30 (Mom's apartment): 3 oz. wine
6:45 (retirement home dining room): 4 oz. wine; 1 cup French onion
soup; 4 oz. calves' liver; 1/3 cup mashed potatoes; 2 oz. broccoli; 1
scoop lowfat Milky Way ice cream w/ 1 tbs caramel topping

Totals: 1748 calories (150 from alcohol), 45g fat (23%), 195g carbs
(45%), 196g protein (24%)

Tuesday:
4:45 (Mom's apartment -- we had to show up at the hospital at 5:30
a.m.): ready-to-drink chocolate protein shake {brought these and a
bunch of the other stuff from my house}
8:00 (from machine in family waiting room): hot chocolate {Not a great
diet choice, but I was absolutely freezing and needed something hot,
and I don't drink coffee.}
9:00 (in waiting room -- brought with me): apple
10:15 (outside the hospital after making cell phone calls to people to
tell them the surgery had gone ok -- brought with me): sandwich w/ 2
slices whole wheat bread, 3 oz. Healthy Choice ham, 2 slices f/f
cheese, mustard
12:00 (waiting room -- brought with me): 1 cup red grapes
2:30 (Mom's room -- bought in hospital cafeteria): 1/2 cup snack mix
-- pretzels, nuts, crackers
5:00 (Mom's apartment): 4 oz. wine
6:30 (retirement home grill room with friends of Mom's): 3 oz. salmon
on 1 cup greens; 1 tsp strawberry preserves (for some reason they
served a little cup of this with the salmon)

Totals: 1228 calories (86 from alcohol), 24g fat (18%), 153g carbs
(50%), 84g protein (27%)

Wednesday:
8:15 (retirement home breakfast bar, after exercising): 2/3 cup
oatmeal w/ 1/6 cup skim milk; 1/3 cup mixed citrus fruit
10:30 (Mom's room -- leftover from what I bought in cafeteria on
Tuesday): 1/2 cup snack mix
12:00 (Mom's room -- brought with me): apple
1:30 (Chick-Fil-A drive-thru, while out shopping): grilled chicken
sandwich on wheat roll
3:30 (Mom's room -- bought in hospital cafeteria): 2.5 oz. of mixed
chocolate stuff that they sold by weight (chocolate-coated pretzels,
bite-sized Heath bars, Reese's Pieces) {not really a good choice --
stress eating -- Mom was driving me crazy :-) }
8:30 (back in Mom's apartment, after stopping to buy the groceries for
it, as she didn't have any useful food on hand): 3 scrambled eggs w/ 2
oz. Healthy Choice ham and 1.5 oz. shredded f/f cheese; 4 oz. wine

Totals: 1467 calories (86 from alcohol), 51g fat (31%), 155g carbs
(42%), 79g protein (22%)

Thursday:
9:00 (Mom's apartment): ready-to-drink chocolate protein shake
10:30 (Mom's room): 1/2 oz. trail mix
12:45 (Chick-Fil-A drive-thru, while out shopping): grilled chicken
sandwich on wheat roll; 1/2 cup mixed fruit
3:30 (Mom's room): 1/2 oz. trail mix
5:00 (Mom's apartment): 3 oz. wine; 2 oz. mixed nuts
6:45 (retirement home dining room w/ friends of Mom's): 8 oz. wine;
spinach salad w/ 1 tbs warm bacon dressing; 3.5 oz. grilled tilapia;
portabella mushroom; 1/2 cup spinach; 1 scoop lowfat Milky Way ice
cream w/ 1 tbs caramel topping

Totals: 1805 calories (235 from alcohol), 56g fat (28%), 141g carbs
(31%), 118g protein (26%)

Friday:
9:00 (Mom's apartment): ready-to-drink chocolate protein shake
11:00 (Mom's room): 1/2 oz. trail mix
1:30 (driving): 2 oz. Healthy Choice ham
3:00 (driving): 1/2 oz. trail mix
4:00 (driving): 2 oz. f/f cheese
6:00 (driving -- bought at service station): 51g beef jerky
9:00 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese; 3 mint meringue cookies

Totals: 1026 calories, 25g fat (22%), 91g carbs (35%), 108g protein
(31%)

Exercise:

Wednesday, 7:15 a.m. -- Cardio program week 7, interval day: treadmill
-- 9 x (1.5 minutes at 4.7 mph, 6% incline; 2.5 minutes at 2.0 mph, 0
incline)

plus a certain amount of schlepping Mom's stuff around and general
worrying and aggravation :-)
