Default Snack Bars

Hi

I'm looking for good nutritious snack bars to use at office. I found
many claiming to be healthy at Krogers - but I find things like High
Fructose Corn Syrup (or something similar) in almost all these bars (
From the little bit I know - the HFCSyrup is a very bad thing

(correct?))
Even the Quakers Oatmeal to Go seems to be a candy bar really. Any
suggestions on a good snack bar will be appreciated.

thanks
s

Why snack bars? Why not something more wholesome, like a piece of fruit or
vegetable?

I like larabars, myself. I keep them in the car as a handy, reasonably
healthy snack that's shelf stable in case I end up being out later than
I expected. They're essentially dried fruit and nuts, and around 200
calories each.

It's not something I'd want to eat every day, but it's a better option
than what I tend to eat when I'm hungry and didn't plan ahead. Ok, and
once in awhile I budget one for dessert - they're awfully tasty.

I'm a fan of Quaker Oats Granola Bars. The ones I get are anywhere from
110 - 120 calories.

Hi,

You can make your own snack bars without the additives and preservatives and
all that crap. I haven't done it myself, but it looks pretty easy. I'm sure
that you can find a bunch of recipies online. Here is one I saw not too long
ago: http://bodybuilding.about.com/od/hea...proteinbar.htm
