Work closely with your OB/GYN and have them consider you for going to
maintenance levels of carbs versus a more traditional eating plan.
Only you and your doctor know what your baby and you need at this
time.

As you accelerate your food, it takes exponentially more and more energy
to increase its velocity, until you hit a limit at C. This energy has
to come from somewhere; in this case, from the food's nutritional value.
Thus, the faster the food is, the worse it gets.

Hi Kerri

Congratulations on your pregnancy! There is Yahoo group called "Pregnant
Atkids" - it's for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to
conceive while lowcarbing. They have plenty of information on ketosis,
weightloss and LC during pregnancy.

Kerri,

My wife was on Atkins when she became pregnant. She basically switched from
OWL to Maintenance. She does get the majority of her carbs from fruit and
veggies.

Her doctor bascially told her that ketosis is the only thing the baby
doesn't like.

Of course, consult your own doctor!

And Congratulations!!
