have you tried brushing and flossing? listerine?

Hard core bad breath defeats mere brushing and flossing.

if it can't be tamed by brushing and flossing, no gum or mint is going
to do anything more than temporarily mask it.

And masking may be the best or only solution. Brushing and flossing address
front-of-the-mouth halitosis related to stuck food particles, etc. But if the
halitosis is coming from the back of the throat or up from the digestive
system, you could spend your whole day brushing and flossing to no effect. Of
course, you make a good point in that we should all brush and floss 3x daily,
and that's the first place to attack any bad breath problem. But it's not
going to solve all halitosis problems.

no, i know that. but i'm constantly amazed by the way people just
completely ignore the most basic things and instead rush to find a
needlessly complicated solution to a simple problem.

Not if you're on Atkins Induction, nope. Induction lasts 14 whole
days after which you can.

what do i chew.

Induction food.

i hate my breath.

No you don't. That's the smell of ketosis. *Love* it and enjoy it.
Because about 2 weeks in it fades dramatically on its own accord
whent he body adjusts to its new fuel.

If you fight it now when it is intense, you will likely not be able
to smell it in week 3-4 on, so you will be stuck using the sticks
until you move on to phase 3 Premaint. If you *love* it now and
focus on it, you are far more likely to still be able to smell it
when it is faint and no one else can, so you will be freee of the
sticks. After 3 weeks it gets so faint many can't smell it on
themselves any more, but there is no point fighting it now and
increasing your odds of needing the sticks.

Default Another Question re; halitosis

I'm on Day 4 of Induction. When should I expect to start having the
'ketone' breath?

One thing to note too, some people claim tat the "keto breath" is caused by
eating too much protein. You may want to try cutting your protein intake
slightly.

Drinking lots of water helps me with it. So do the Listerine breath strips.

The keto-breath for me seems to go away when my body starts adjusting to low carbs.

why do you have to expect it? it doesn't happen to everyone. never
happened to me. it may not happen to you either.
