LC Ketchup in Ottawa, Canada

Hi!

if there is anyone in Ottawa, Canada who reads this newsgroups...do you have
any idea where I can find some LC Ketchup??

Why don't you make some? This recipe is excellent!

Low Carb Ketchup

3 cups canned tomatoes (pureed in your blender)
2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup white vinegar

Put everything into a saucepan and simmer slowly 1 1/2 hours stirring often.
Take off heat and stir in 2 package sweetener. Cool and pour into a jar.
Keeps 4 months in the fridge.

Makes 24 oz at .83 carbs per tablespoon.

Heinz in the US makes a low carb ketchup, its a smaller bottle, but it
tastes fine. I think I may make the recipe that was listed next time though
and just save the bottle.

I'm tired of making my own stuff Heather. It's gotten to the point
where I'd rather buy it for a couple of dollars in the store, and use my
time for bigger and better things! I made my own everything LC for a long
time. Ice cream that took 5 hours, and was OK, that I can now buy in the
store and it tastes great.
