Snack -- Try This
EAS Whey Protein Powdered Drink Mix (Vanilla)
(12oz / 12 serving canister available from Walmart for $8) Mix into 1 Cup Milk (0-1-2% fat to taste -- I use 1%) Macronutrients (powder + milk = total): Calories: 115 + 120 = 235 Fat: 2g + 2.5g = 4.5g Carbs: 3g + 14g = 17g Protein: 21g + 11g = 32g Calcium: 16% + 40% = 56% RDA EAS uses Stevia (25mg/serving) for their sweetener, and I'm addicted to the taste. Not too sweet, but tasty as-is. This snack just tastes like a milkshake, or even better for me. Now, it's easy to eat too much protein, since we only need about 0.5g per lb of bodyweight, but with enough water intake I think/hope going over the RDA a bit won't be unhealthy. I just like 200kcal snacks that fill me up for hours, and the dairy calcium and protein in this seems like a good thing, not to mention it TASTES REALLY GOOD (at least to me -- YMMV...) I also put a scoop on my Cheerios occasionally -- it turns them into Frosted Protein-Fortified Cheerios! netrition.com sells the 5lb jug of EAS protein (slightly different name, same taste) for $30 + $5 shipping, too... |
