Hmmmmmm, I'm not 100% positive but I think our grocery store did have a few
packages of the cherry ones last week. They could have been old stock though.
BUT we also did have the orange cream variety. I bought a package but haven't
tried them yet. Hub did, said they were very good. Yes, too many short lived
varieties. Is it a marketing ploy to keep us always checking and rechecking -
that urge to have to try something new? I would assume that it would have to be
somewhat costly for the company to continually change, as well as confusing. I
wish they would keep the s'more variety as permanent - could change the
mint, strawberry or peanut butter to slimited edition. At least, that's how my
taste preferences go. g

Hmmmmmmm, interesting! I wonder if they will continue with the same marketing
ploy as far as many different varieties that come and go. Silhouette was owned by
Edy's, another big company. I'm surprised they sold, would have thought it was a
big money maker.

I still haven't tried them. If it's the same cookie type they used in the

I was thinking the same thing, in regards to caloric content of the real potato
chips vs. the pita chips. I haven't had a bag of potato chips in the house for a
long time, other than the baked ones which are much lower in fat content. AHA! I
found one lonely individual bag of REAL potato chips (must have bought them for
one of the kids lunches) ... 150 calories/10g fat/1g fiber ... the baked cheddar
chips that I like are 120cal/3g fat/2g fiber ... what I have in the dietpower
program for the pita chips are 130cal/5g fat/0g fiber. So there we have it! Not
exactly wonderfully healthy, but better than the old potato chips. For some
reason I was also able to eat just one or two pieces of the pita chips, as opposed
to an entire bag of the potato chips.

I caved once again to the bag of baked chips that were calling my name. For some
reason lately, I seem to be craving salt bigtime. Not like I'm holding enough
water as it is. g

You know, real, old fashioned potato chips are not that much off the
120 calories mark either. I think it is just their fat which makes
them, so point unfriendly. Nah, until I take some long car camping
trip or such - no salt impregnated chips are permitted!!! (G)

I don't think the nutrtional info was all that bad - low fat at least, calories
maybe 120 or so for an ounce (which was 7 or 8 large chips). The problem was in
the size of the container, and the fact that no one else in this house was going
to help me eat them. The container is now empty, finished, gone, vanquished from
the house. I have NOT told my eldest this, for fear she will replace it. g

The white peaches were very good, never had them before ... but my favorite is
still the same old standard version. I loaded up on peaches and nectarines this
week, and hub brought in a huge cantaloupe from the farm stand. YUM! I've felt
in better control this past week, scales aren't budging quickly but they are
moving bit by bit, damage isn't too bad either. And clothes still fit well. Whew!
Nothing is permanent, unless I allow it to be ... right?

I'm telling ya, we are having some really bizarre weather here. Yesterday I had
to relent and turn the air back on, the house was really hot (was 88 upstairs) and
humid. I woke this morning, puttered about the house for a bit then ran out to
the mailbox ... dang was it cold! Temps dropped to mid 60's at some point, had to
change back into jeans and a sweatshirt. It is currently 58F/85% humidity ... and
I see where my brother is located it is registering 96% humidity ... guess what's
coming our way. g So the temps are cooler, but the air is certainly moist. g
Too cool to run the air so windows are opened again, which results in more
humidity in the house, more in my limbs I fear. According to the forecast, we
are to have at least 3 more days of this.

And I do expect MY weight to be up tomorrow ... sodium, sodium and more sodium for
dinner this evening. sigh
