Hi, Lesanne, Nice recovery.

Fred, I feel so much better today, after only two days of cutting out all sugar stuff until my "designated treat time" after dinner, and limiting that to 3 or 4 points only. That and paying attention to getting in more dairy, mostly what I have done is use yogurt and fruit for snacks. I had one of "those days" on Thursday, and was 162 Friday morning. 161 this morning after a nice filling and balanced 30 point day yesterday. -- Les "Fred" wrote in message ... Definitely track and let us/me know. The last few weeks, thinking that I was not hungry and therefore could cut back, I was eating half a sweetpotato rather than an entire one. Well, I lost and maintained well on a full one for more than a year, so cutting back probably made no sense other than the idea that "at this time, I don't want a full potato" but maybe eating it is a good idea. It certainly is healthier than eating sugary, chewy candies. I really am tearing through too much sugary candy. It can't be good for my teeth, never mind my blood sugar level or waistline! I ate well today (30), but am quite hungry actually. When I have one of those days (maybe 50 - 60 point days) I usually immediately go up to 161 or 162. TWO days eating 30 points, and I drop back to 160. Then if I make it three, I am back to 159. Then I have another one of THOSE days. I think tomorrow I am going to plan a 35 point day. Then a 30. Then a planned 35. And see what that does after a week or so. |

That bouncing from good to trash was what I was doing, and so far this week
I am just Not doing the trash eating. I Want to right now, but Not. In my own personal case, not weighing daily just gives me an excuse to deny that I am gaining, so that never works for me. I figure WW doesn't know me that well . Another thing about cheese vs gummy bears. I get ever so hungry after a gummy bear snack, but cheese tends to stick with. -- Les "Fred" wrote in message ... Great. I bounce from good eating to trash eating. Being consistent, over the days of a week and then week after week is the challenge. I think that WW may be right. Daily weighing is vexing (G) Approx, last Monday 165, Tue, 163, Wed (WI day), at home 162.5. Sat 161. This, Sun morning - 164. Meaning? But controlling junk is going to be my aim. I mean, at least cheese is a "healthy" snack whereas gummy bears, juicyfruits, spicedrops????? SUGAR - high fructose corn syrup. Off to hike before it gets too hot (6:30am and breakfast consumed and Joe Biden is Meeting the Press (g)) On Sat, 31 Jul 2004 23:00:18 GMT, "Lesanne" wrote: Fred, I feel so much better today, after only two days of cutting out all sugar stuff until my "designated treat time" after dinner, and limiting that to 3 or 4 points only. I don't think the nutrtional info was all that bad - low fat at least, calories
maybe 120 or so for an ounce (which was 7 or 8 large chips). The problem was in the size of the container, and the fact that no one else in this house was going to help me eat them. The container is now empty, finished, gone, vanquished from the house. I have NOT told my eldest this, for fear she will replace it. g The white peaches were very good, never had them before ... but my favorite is still the same old standard version. I loaded up on peaches and nectarines this week, and hub brought in a huge cantaloupe from the farm stand. YUM! I've felt in better control this past week, scales aren't budging quickly but they are moving bit by bit, damage isn't too bad either. And clothes still fit well. Whew! I know that my eating hasn't been wonderful by any stretch of the imagination, but
I'm also thinking water retention is playing a bit of havoc ... too much sodium and maybe too much regional humidity - even though the days are a bit cooler this week. Rings are tight, shoes are snug (which is a good indicator for me) and boy can that scale jump unreasonably up. More water, I definitely need to drink more water.
