Fred:

Congrats on losing 2.4!! That is a great loss!! And swinging up and down
is what your supposed to do -- you're in maintenance my friend!!

scheduled down week (G).

Also snacking last night fell by the wayside as I routed and sawed and
ran up and down two flights of steps trying to create a mounting setup
for the new air conditioner which does not come equipped to be
installed in my new double-hung window system. This is now done just
in time for our cooling trend and will leave me unable to test whether
an air conditioner is worth the investment. Of course, I probably
inhaled two or three pounds of fine sawdust!

I think Lesanne wins this week - the prize - she gets to study more

Oh, yeah, Costco suckered me into TWO crabs and I know what's for
dinner tonight and tomorrow - need to check points versus the exercise
in extracting the meat and I do NOT do any butter. The absence of
butter has to do with the first time I did dungeness crab and melted
butter but got so distracted extracting and eating that I never really
did use or need the butter. It's going on almost 30 years - so one
bad habit fell way before WW.

If you're injured, be sure to take care of that. That may account for
some of the ups/downs you've been experiencing, as your body works to
heal itself.

I love crab, although I still use butter. The points are so low on
shellfish, that I don't mind the indulgence. My only problem is that I
get protein headaches, so have to eat rolls or crackers if I have
crab.

Good job on the loss!

Best, Diane

Congrats on the loss. The beauty of crabs is that you're so busy getting
the meat out you forget about everything else. :-)

Glad to see that the weight came down along with the muscle relief.

I'm noticing a trend here among homeowners who are caught up in home
improvement projects. You can't eat and tend to the business at hand!
Packing for a trip, however, is a different story. Every time I make a
trip downstairs to the laundry or to add/subtract an item from my
to-do list, I'm wandering into the kitchen. Should I leave all that
stuff in the fridge to rot? Or eat it? So far, the skinny cows have
gone the way of the latter.

My introduction to crab was in gumbo. Never tried it with butter.
Can't imagine needing it. Sounds yummy.

Don't forget to subtract the fiber in that sawdust when you're
calculating the points!

Thanks for the good travel thoughts. This is the best time of year to
go. The weather isn't too hot or cold on either end. I won't be
posting much for the next 12 days, but I'll be lurking.

What's that saying? Something about busy minds and idle hands? Can't
remember and don't want to look it up. Don't even know if it applies.
Just forget I mentioned it.

Your crab matches the way I remember eating it at my former and now
deceased mother-in-law's. Add the flavor of gumbo and you've got some
GOOD food.

Funny how I didn't want to risk freezer burn on the skinny cows but if
my lettuce turns brown and slimy, oh well!

Your yard will love you for the hard work.

First, have a great trip - no, the big one to Atlanta, not the ones to
the downstairs (g).

I have always found that when very busy with a project, computer
issue, home, deck-building, whatever, food really does drop by the
wayside. So, clearly, some of my eating is boredom or keeping the
hands busy. The convenience factor also enters into it. At work, I
have the bag of pretzels and the pieces of fruit - somehow I have made
the determination that "free office food" does not exist for the last
year, so work keeps me safer, too. Like you, the kitchen is just too
darn convenient when passing through.

The crab was very nice. Too bad I showered before eating it -
literally, the liquid was running down my arms toward my elbows as I
was fully immersed in it. I had my nutcracker and nut pick and was
dripping and eating. Followed by brussel sprouts and kasha as the
second, separate course.

The sacrifice involving skinny cows is interesting (G)

Sweeping up the basement (I should have done this work out on the back
deck or back yard), I had a box full of sawdust - what a mess. I
dumped it in the compost pile.

Aha, I jumped in here just to check on you

I don't know if I will get the prize or not, I have been up and down so far
this week, as much as 3 pounds between one morning and the next, with my
eating being more or less good. Actually that is not right, I have been
eating very consistently on program. Don't know what is up. Today weight
is okay, yesterday was 161!!??

Oh well, you are doing Very well.
