Okay. Hang in there!

That is the plan. :-) So far, so good.....down 1 more pound since this

It must have been from all the walking I did yesterday.

that can't be all bad, can it?

When you consider the lifespan of the average human during that time, it
might bear a little scrutiny.

But if you're goin to do that, you have to look at deaths by disease
compared to deaths by accident. Wild animals were somewhat more plantiful
back then. How many of these neanderthals dies because they were hunting? Or
in childbirth? Probably a lot more than died from cancer or diabetes.

Actually you're mistaking Neolithic lifespans for Paleolithic ones.

When Man began eating technology-dependent foods ( grains, beans,
potatoes, milk, refined sugars)10,000 years ago he lost more than 35%
of his life-span as well as 6 inches of average height and all his
teeth before age 30.
See:
Mark Cohen and G. J. Armelagos,
"Paleopathology at the Origins of Agriculture."
New York: Academic Press, 1984.

People in the U.S. did not reach Paleolithic life-spans until the 20th
century when the effects of railroads ( pork and beef), refrigeration
( chicken and fish), trucks ( year-round fresh produce) and planes (
year-round fresh fruit)made it possible to emulate a Paleolithic diet
more closely.
