Amazingly well. I must have missed last week's check-in somehow, but
I lost four pounds last week -- and another four pounds this week! I
couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scale this morning. I
wouldn't be surprised if it all goes away by next week.

But in the meantime, my final total for August is 10 pounds.

What worked? What didn't?

I've been keeping to 1300 calories a day and 40 to 45 grams of
carbohydrate. Seems to work pretty well. I've been eating berries
and pistachio nuts as an evening snack. And FitDay is my friend.

hanging head Final is 191. What doesn't work for me is to not count
calories. Sigh.

I am down to 284, for a total of six lost. I actually saw 282 there for
a few days, but you know how it is with water.

What worked? FitDay. Also, I took myself back to the induction list of
foods for about five days. As I've mentioned before, some kinds of
carbs (sugar, flour, corn sugars) do something to my emotional
thermostat and my impluse control goes right out the window. It's good
to have the emotions toned down again. No bread. No bread. No bread.
(Oddly, it turns out that one of my paternal uncles has just been
diagnosed with celiac this past week.)

Please sign me up for the next challenge. My goal is another five down.

Thanks for this; it helps a lot.

April.

I respectfully decline to post this information. It's been a horrible
month.

I won't be participating in the September Challenge. I just don't know
what the future holds right now.
