True.

Fact: People consider human females too fat if you can't.

Prove this claim.

Fact: More Americans die from weighing to little then from weighing
too much.

Prove this claim.

Fact: Cost for obesity related medical treatments are calculated by
summing EVERY type 2 diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and
cancer case, REGUARDLESS of actual cause.

Prove this claim.

Fact: 95% of people who diet put lost weight back on within 3 years.

Prove this claim.

Considering that you have no clue how to calculate something as simple
as BMI hardly makes you an expert on obesity.

You picked a fat acceptance propaganda page. Let's look at the cite on
this one from the page:

"Excess Deaths Associated With Underweight, Overweight, and Obesity" by
Katherine M. Flegal, PhD; Barry I. Graubard, PhD; David F. Williamson,
PhD; Mitchell H. Gail, MD, PhD
JAMA. 2005;293:1861-1867.

Here's the actual conclusion from the study:

MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Number of excess deaths in 2000 associated with
given BMI levels. RESULTS: Relative to the normal weight category (BMI
18.5 to 25), obesity (BMI or =30) was associated with 111,909 excess
deaths (95% confidence interval [CI], 53,754-170,064) and underweight
with 33,746 excess deaths (95% CI, 15,726-51,766).

Did you bother to check the facts on the site, dumbass?

I'm sure the other claims are just as bogus.

Not true, you can see the ribs on my dog (slightly) and she's plenty fine.
She's just a naturally skinny dog. Probably part whippet or some such.

Fact: People consider human females too fat if you can't.

Not true, at a BMI of 24, which isn't even overweight, much less obese, I'm
nowhere near seeing my ribs, and I'm at a healthy weight.

Fact: More Americans die from weighing to little then from weighing
too much.

Prove this claim.

Where do you get that from? I'd be interested in seeing some sources.

Depends who did the study. Lung Cancer were all considered to be smokers at
the end of the 90s. It's just a matter of who pays for the study.

Fact: 95% of people who diet put lost weight back on within 3 years.

Prove this claim.

That's a myth that dates back at least from the 60s, has been proved wrong
so many times that it's ridiculous, and still is floating around. Go look up
the National Weight Loss registry. Just at Weight Watchers, the number of
Lifetime members who are maintaining at least 2/3 of their weight loss is
impressive.

Considering that you have no clue how to calculate something as simple
as BMI hardly makes you an expert on obesity.

It would be interesting to know what fraction of the population is obese
and what fraction is underweight. If there were nearly 4 times as many
fat people as skinny people, they would have an equal death rate.
This is an observation, not a statement.

The mortiality rate for underweight people is basically meaningless since
some people will become underweight through wasting when they are
terminally ill.

From a couple of sources, I've read that sedentary fat people and skinny
people have similar mortality rates. It would appear that no matter what
shape your body, it is best to use it, or you'll lose it.

Exercise Improves Health More than Weight Loss
Overweight, Active People Are Healthier than Thin, Sedentary People

"Research indicates that those who are considering going on a diet to
lose weight in order to improve their health would be better off hitting
the gym instead."

(Unfortunately, they hold out J. Eric Oliver as an authority. I say
unfortunately because he was cited on a site that a previous poster
referred to as a pro-fat site [I hope I'm paraphrasing that correctly,
if not I'm sure I'll feel the flames tickling around my ankles
shortly.])
"J. Eric Oliver¹s meticulously researched book, Fat Politics, tackles
many common assumptions about weight and health, as well as identifying
the causes of the modern obsession with weight. In particular, Oliver
provides a synopsis of recent large-scale studies, which have found that
physical activity, rather than thinness, is correlated with health."

Let the games continue.

Typical reply. I am glad you didn't fail.

When a fat basher, such as yourself, posts a medical study that attacks
fat people, I'll argue with the data collection process that the study
took. That is, I'll take on the study itself. But when a URL is provided
with hinks to medical studies that support fat people, the fat bashers
attack the quality of the URL.

Next time, attack the studies referenced, not the bias of the web site
listing the references, moron.

You're not very bright, are you?

Do you understand that I posted the conclusion of the study that was
referenced on the web site and it indicated the *exact opposite* of
what you and the web site claimed? Do you always accept whatever is
posted on a web site as fact without verifying the information?

Why should anyone be surprised that you are too stupid to understand
that you shot yourself in the foot? After all, you can't even
understand a simple concept like BMI.

And it should be noticed that change is only possible when one accepts
oneself just as one is. The times I have lost weight and kept it off for
a decade or more started were preceded by getting a comfortable wardrobe.

Self loathing is a great driver of overeating.
