Review: Quaker Q-Smart Snack Bars
I just tried Quaker Q-Smart bars. They are at Sam's Club for $8-something
for a box of 15. Each bar: 120 calories, 6g fat, 10g protein, 8g carbs, 2g fiber, 3g sugar alcohols (3g net carbs) I was pleasantly surprised by these. I tried both the cranberry/almond and the peanut butter/chocolate chip. They remind me a bit of a Kudos bar. The first bite is a little disappointing, but they really grow on you. They are adequately moist, and very satisfyingly crunchy and chewy. They don't have nearly as strong of a "protein bar taste" as you might expect. Lot better than a protein bar, actually. If you're a food purist, don't bother looking or asking; they contain objectionable ingredients. I'll definitely be buying these again. Reb (not a food purist) |
