speaking of dogs....
Dally's post made me giggle. my dog can't run either. Well, she can
sprint, but short sprints and gives up on running pretty quickly. Anyhow... tonight I finally unwrapped a gift from someone who sometimes reads here - she knows who she is. She sent me the billy blanks taebo tapes. I finally got the intro tape out of the box and went through it tonight. First the dog saw me dressed in workout clothes and to her that is a sure sign that I'm going to say the "w" word. When I didn't, she pitched a fit. So, I took her for a walk. well, actually a sprint, then light jog. About 3/4 mile, untimed. Then in to do the tape. She insisted on sitting on the floor as close to me as possible while I watched and worked on the intro tape to learn the moves. When i wouldn't give her attention she began barking and runnign in circles *ya know that super run they do...* Then she'd come and try to sit on my feet. Darned dog didn't want me to workout. And she wouldn't leave me alone. Well, I made it through the 1 hr intro tape... boring... I'm gonna go do something else to get some cardio in, and maybe a condensed weight workout or something. ANYTHING!! to get me back into gear. First workout in weeks... |

Try moving on to the beginner (and if you're brave, advanced) tape. They go MUCH faster. |

speaking of dogs.... AND CATS
That is why I have cats! Yes, they ignore me 1/2 the time, but I feel very
special when they pay attention to me. My 6 month old kitten is VERY cute when my husband and I play pool (we have a pool table in our living room). He chases the balls around and goes crazy when we actually make a pocket. It is cute but annoying, we have to lock him up when we play. Sometimes, late at night, I'll wake up to the weird sound of someone playing pool. One time I walked to my living room and saw the kitten running around on the pool table knocking a few of the balls we left out in the pockets. Yes, our cat plays pool and plays it better then me! We have five cats. Everything that's not permanently affixed and immobile has the potential to become a cat toy. Trust me, if they didn't "ignore" you half the time, they'd drive you crazy. I put the "ignore" in quotes because it really isn't what they'redoing. They have their own busy lives too. Nap, stretch, chase floating dust specks, have a snack, go out through the cat door and roll in the dirt, nap some more; mine stay scheduled up. g The cat who has alpha status considers my lap to be her personal space and she gets angry with me and the other cat when one of the other ones gets lap time. Never a dull moment around here! |

I know what you mean! We drink bottled water here simply because of the
fact that our 2 cats are water addicts. I got sick of finding cat fur in my glasses of water.... I got one of those drinkwell filtered pet fountains and they love it. It is funny watching the kitten "play" with the running water. The 3 yr old is a black female named Cleo. the 6 mo old is a white male named Patra. Cleo is the alpha and attached to hubby. Patra is a slut... he'll sleep with anyone. -- Email me at: perpleglow(AT)comcast.net We have five cats. Everything that's not permanently affixed and immobile has the potential to become a cat toy. We don't allow the cats to sleep with us at night at this point. We tried,
but the little one stays awake most of the night attacking our feet as they move under the covers. When he gets older, we'll start letting them sleep in our bedroom. -- Email me at: perpleglow(AT)comcast.net "Jayjay" wrote in message ...
