Well, I have been trying to start again for a few weeks now and have had
some good days and bad days. I seem to find an excuse to drink all the

the
massive flooding and that seems to be an excuse to drink. I am starting
again today. I somehow feel better today and feel I can do it. The

other
times I started I just didn't have it in me. I don't know how much I

weigh,
but I will guess I gained 15 pounds in the past couple of months. My
clothes still fit, but not that comfortably.

All I can do is keep trying and hopefully today is the beginning of a

good
streak. I think I can do it. Wish me luck!

Curt, I am sorry, are you about 190 lbs right now? And at the height
of 6'2"? Is that right? If so, can you make an effort to stabilise
your weight, instead of trying to resume weight loss?

i

I think I am around 190 or something like that. Not sure. I will weigh
myself in a couple of weeks. I hate seeing the big number when I look at
the scale. I am not happy at this weight. At 180 that is pretty good. I
figure 177 gives me 3 pounds of messing up.

Thanks,
Curt

Are you gaining just because of drinking? How much do you drink? If
drinking is going to be a problem for you, then your path is clear.

The problem is clear for certain, but that doesn't make it any easier. I
love to drink beer. I like the taste and how I feel. I think I will always
like it. The problem comes in when I drink 3+ days in a row. I can drink
on the weekends and not gain, but I start adding more days sometimes. I was
on a roll there for a while. I then eat after I drink, so I can sleep
better. It seems to work for me. How much do I drink? Well, last night
two beers, but that is not normal. Usually I drink 6-10 beers I guess.
That isn't too bad, but I drink Belgium's/micros and such that are double or
so the alcohol of say..a Budweiser.

I just need to get back to 180ish and then I can have my night or two a week
of drinking. I know it sounds terrible, but it is my way of self
medication. I am such a happy drinker and it seems to carry over to the
following days if I have a few. Strange, but true.

Thanks,
Curt

Yeah, it is better than waiting for a few more months. I would hate to have
to do all this over again. I think I can do it.

Good luck curt. If we know anything, we know it's best to catch it while
it's only 15 pounds. :-)

Yeah, if I can get through the first few days and this weekend, I will be
pretty confident. It is hard to start.

Hi Curt,
I wish you luck. It's tough getting back on track when you slide for a
while. Keep your chin up and KNOW that yes you can do it.
