My HRM says 6158....average HR of 141, max of 170 (I've never had my HR go
above 176).

Fitday says 4232...I haven't check my cycling software yet....it's lets me
enter the climbing info too, when computing calories burned. However, it
was quite windy out yesterday, and that makes riding tougher, and either of
the software tools I use account for wind resistance.

I don't rely on these numbers too much, though...I just eat according to how
the body feels. If I don't eat some carbs after one of the long rides, I
have real problems.

Thanks...I thought about waiting until next year too...but then, today while
riding, I thought that there is no real reason not to go for it this year,
since i have one organized ride left which is Saturday.

There is a Seneca near where my ride with be...the event is called "Ride for
the Raptors" and was a winner in 1993 of a best Century competition.

I'm doing the metric century, but I did the outer loop of the century
route the weekend before last, as I can pick up the route 5 miles from
my house and skip the first and last 20 miles. I did lose the route for
a while, so I didn't try out all of it, but it was beautiful and not too
hilly. The only killer hill is on Maw Bridge road, around 25 miles
along on both the metric and full century routes. The connection
between the 25 miles loop and the metric and full centuries has changed
from last year, to avoid the traffic created by the new WalMart in
Central. I tried the new part and it was good riding.
