Default Awesome lunch, weight loss, and not so good workout

Hi list,

Just wanted to brag about my weight loss first. Today I woke up and
weighed 241, which means I've lost 59 pounds so far since August 27, 2003
which is about 3 months and 3 weeks since I visited my doctor at 300 pounds
(appx 4 pounds per week). I feel a lot better, the walks are easier. I
mentioned I had a not so good workout last night. While on the stairmaster
at 40 minutes into exercising I felt like my energy had been drained. This
doesn't occur often, but I definitely felt like I needed energy, so I ate a
piece of bread with turkey and light mayo and some wheat thins.

Yesterday I drove to my wife's office and took her to lunch at a local
restaurant named La Hacienda Ranch which is an upbeat Mexican restaurant.
Anyway, I ordered their Fajitas Lite meal, which was grilled Chicken Fajitas
and grilled vegetables. Some of the vegetables were yellow squash and
zucchini, broccoli heads, cauliflower, onions, and bell peppers. It was an
awesome meal. It came with rice and refried beans, which I didn't eat. I
did add a couple tablespoons of beans to my fajita wrap.

Anyway, I had a great day yesterday, ate great foods, and woke to find my
weight has still decreased. It's a great day!

Hope all is well with everyone and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New
Year,

Paul

Way to go, Paul! You showed a lot of determination in ordering the lite meal
and then not overdoing it on the extras. I think it is good to listen to
your body and eat something if you get too tired or weak. Of course, make
sure you eat something reasonable, which you did.

Congrats on the great day!! I love La Hacienda Ranch... they have great
food. I try to avoid restaurants with food that is too good just not to
tempt myself. I am going to a great steakhouse in Dallas tonight for dinner
with hubby and some friends, but I'll be careful and order the smallest
steak they have and veggies... I'll probably have a glass of wine too. I'm
doing a modified HMR diet, with a calorie count of about 800-1000 calories a
day now.

You've lost allot of weight very quickly! Great job!

59lbs is awesome! Glad to see you were able to stick to the woe while
eating out. Eating out has become such a normal way of life for many of us
and learning to eat healthy while doing so is great. I eat more meals out
than I eat at home so it's important for me to choose the healthiest items
available.

That's great, Paul! I think that when you really change, every day is
easier - good food appeals to you more than junk; exercise is fun and makes
you glow, and the weight goes.

Keep it up.
