Default Great mini vacation news!

Well, still ahve houseguests and now add my father and step-mother to
the crew! They arrived last night and I will have too many people
around for the next few days!! AARRGGGHHH!

Suffice it to say, planning my meals ahs become nigh on impossible and
we are eating out a lot. I am making (mostly) great choices and eating
small portions (I find I am satisfied far earlier than everyone else).
Also I eat very slowly now. It's scary watching people eat
unconsciously and shovel in 2-3 times the amount of food I'm eating
and go back for seconds while I am still chew-chew-chewing! ;-)

Once that time of the month passed, I hit the scale and I am now down
a good 5-6 lbs since the houseguest mania began! What a change,
usually when they are here I am good for gaining 4-5. :-)

So far, no one has really noticed my weight loss except hubby, who
said he had to take a second look to recognize me in line at a store
yesterday. What a great guy.

My family has talked about me for years regarding weight issues, I
have been the family topic. Last night was late, but no one noticed
that I am down about 20lbs. It doesn't sound like much but it *is*
very noticable, especially in clothes. I don't have much left that
fits me and I am donating to the salvation army as quickly as I'm
buying new there to replace things in smaller sizes. Luckily I have my
cousin here and we are kindred shopping spirits. Of course today is
very cold, but I am pleased to report that I bought a pair of shorts
in size 14 for the first time in years at the salvation army. Cute,
cost about $1, from the Limited. I am also pleased to say the waist is
too large, but they are darn cute. I also bougt a ballgown in a size
13 for a wedding I am going to in a month.

Yippee!

Has anyone heard form Tara N? Tara, you out there girl? How goes it?

Ally
