Default Curiosity...?

How does the diet change after the two week Induction?

Ive heard you guys say you're on 25 grams now....so, I guess I'll get
five more grams...? What gets added?

(By the time my book-on-tape arrives.... I may be thru the Induction
pahase.)

Did you go to the Atkins.com website as somebody else suggested? It's all in
there. "How to do Atkins".

In general, it's recommended that you start increasing your carbs by adding
more vegetables. They are less likely than most other types of carby foods
to cause weird cravings and to knock you off course. Plus they're good for
you! Try a big serving of broccoli with your salad and meat for dinner. Or
add a small turnip, cubed, and a slice of onion to some stew (later on you
can add some carrot slices, too... you won't miss the potato). Or a spoonful
of tomato paste (no sugar) to a ground beef dish. Just figure out 5 g. worth
of any vegetables you've been missing.

The next step after Induction is figuring out your CCLL. You do this
by slowly increasing your carb intake (you're no longer limited to the
foods on the Induction food list) and noting when weight loss stops.
Then you lower it a notch and eat at that level for the majority of
your weight loss. Slow and steady!

You'll note that the book is "in the mail". And it's an audio tape.
Hard to read either way ;-)

Quoting Marengo:

She's legally blind and waiting on an audio book to be sent to her.

Hi, Rose-lass

You add 5g carbs a day more, (one hike per week) working your way down this
list:

More salad/veggies
Cheeses
seeds/nuts
berries
wine/spirits
legumes
fruits
starchy veggies
whole grains

I just bought the book last week, in a font size I can read, so am working
through it for the first time : )

Nicky.

Yes, Marengo...it IS a giant pain in the butt to read a book OF THIS
TYPE on tape. Namely because, for quick reference, say, to a particular
list or even to zero in on Induction or what comes after, will require
MUCH fast forewarding and backing.

Not even to mention a book of that length will be about three cassetes.

How much fun do you suppose it is to FF and Rewind your way thru several
cassettes to find the part you need?

On the other hand ASKING a simple question in this ng that somebody
MIGHT not mind taking the trouble to answer is pretty much a godsend for
those of us who CANT "just read the book."

It looks like you may not be one who doesnt mind. That's ok.

You might also save the valuable time it takes to type," read the book".

I wish I could "just read the book".

Or ANY book.
