John Gohde,
Achieving good Nutrition is an Art, NOT a Science!

The nutrition of eating a healthy diet is a biological factor of the
mind-body connection. Now, weighing in at 18 web pages, the
Nutrition of a Healthy Diet is with more documentation and
sharper terminology than ever before.

You still need fats in your diet, olive oil, canola, 2-3 tablespoons day;
fin fish, skinless chicken breast, beef, lamb full trim 3-6 oz day. Sugar, 4
carbon, from fruit fresh or canned, not in syrup.

The reason I'm asking is, low-carb vs. mainstream nutrition aside, it
seems
that vegetables are a much more low calorie way to get whatever

nutrients
are available only from plant sources rather than whole grains.

Calories. Try feeding yourself on raw spinach. Tons of nutrients, hardly
any calories. A very modest diet of 1800 calories per day would be 17
lbs of spinach or 3.58 lbs of rice. You choose what you want to stuff
down your pie hole.

Personally I try for a wide variety of foods, vegetables just don't fill
you up for very long (they literally fill you up but dont give you much
usable energy)

k

Whole grains don't give me any usuable energy... quite the opposite, the
inevitable "carb crash" kills me.

Actuallly whole grains have been eaten for thousands of years. The processed
grains are a modern invention. By the way those people only lived about 30
years.

For starters, the FDA has been dead wrong so many times, why should
they be believed this time?

Now the FDA says, "Let there be whole grains in food, and it shall be
good" and it becomes everyones mantra? Thats up there with those
simpletons that say that you NEED to eat sugar for your brain to
function. Excuse me? I'm sory I didn't quite get that.

Everything I am seeing tells me that it this whole grains thing is just
the latest gimmick for those that want to delude themselves that their
standard western processed diet is good for them. For many thousands
of years of human (and other animal) existance, grains and even fruits
and vegetables were a very rare commodity and certainly not the staple
of their diet. Quite frankly, if they couldn't catch it and kill it,
they didn't eat it. It wasn't until more advanced settlements formed
that agricuture even became feasible. But I am supposed to believe
that these natural items that humasn have been eating for millenia are
now inferior to a "whole grain" product manufactured by some company
who's "whole intent" is to make a profit? Please.

Life expectancy is mostly genetic and not based on your
diet.

Your point was moot.
