If it's fine, it means you have no genetic cholesterol
disorder, and that your endemic cholesterol is not strongly linked to dietary cholesterol Does anyone have cholesterol disorder? I've heard it quoted as being as common as 25% of people... What's confusing me further is recent studies that have indicated that cholesterol is not a good warning sign of heart disease - and the cho in eggs should raise the 'good' blood cho anyway. |

12 eggs per week is fine. That is less than two per day, which is
fine. Remember the link between cholesterol consumption (dietary) and cholesterol bloodlevels is tenious at best. I would recommend getting the best quality eggs you can find. Also, if you get eggs where the chickens have been fed flaxseed you can get Omega 3 fatty acids in your eggs, which is very healthy. Also, make certain you are not using unhealthy oils. Your diet should have 0 *ZERO* Trans fats. Also, your vegetable oils should be 100% Expeller pressed with NO SOLVENTS used to extract the oils. Macadamia Nut oil is healthiest, followed by Olive Oil. Grapseed is a good choice as are Conola Oil. On Canola Oil if it doesn't say 100% expeller pressed there is a good chance solvents were used to extract it and they are unhealthy. Eggs are as close to a perfectly balanced food there is, provided you are cooking them. If you want them raw, get egg beaters. |
