Default Getting back on track

Some time ago I posted about entering a chaotic period, having lost
weight (bad thing) and eating randomly and too high carb, and not
getting exercise.

I've regained my weight - I'm back at 76 kg/170 lbs - and my fat% seems
intact (can still see my stomach muscles and I'm still a 32 waist). My
eating is beginning to look like the Zone, if not even more lowcarb, and
my girlfriend (the trigger for my chaotic period) has a better
understanding of my diet now (important when we eat together most of the
time). I've also reopened my subscription to the workout room (after 3
months break), and my power has not decreased much (ie. 4 pounds on free
weights, and 10 pounds on bench press). And I'm teaching her to skate.

She doesn't have those things - she only has me as protection. Hehe, not
failsafe, though: last time she knocked us both down! She lost control
and fell in front of me, I caught her, and held her up making sure she'd
lie down comfortably on her back without hitting her head, but this
threw myself out of balance, and I had to sit down on her. Noone got
hurt or bruised.

Ooo, make her get the padding. I went roller skating once without padding
and hit a rock, flew forward and skidded, and had the most horrible road
rash all up the front of my shin, and that was with jeans on too. The pain
was excruciating.

Right now it is ice skating, so it's not so bad to fall. The weather is
too unstable in Denmark for inline skating this time of the year.

For inline skating I use hand protection only. You can benefit from
learning fall technique (esp. forward rolling fall - which saved me a
couple of times when I went down a steep hill when I was a beginner. My
wrist guards had a deep cut in it!).
And as for hitting a stone, you are not supposed to stand steadilly on
both skates at a time, but to be able to shift quickly from one skate to
the other. When I hit a stone which brakes the skate I stand on, the
other foot automatically takes over, because I kinda fall onto it.
