Back on track
The body seems to be cooperating this week. Down 1.2 to 176.8. Just 1.2 shy
of being back to 70 lost. Elusive TOM *finally* showed up after 5 months. Maybe this will get my body back in losing mode for a few weeks. I've also replaced my normally high carb breakfast of cereal/fruit/milk with a low carb protein shake. Seems to be helping a bit plus I feel so much better these days. Maybe my body can't deal with so many carbs. In the other news department...I went bra shopping yesterday. Thought I would try on a smaller size. They fit nicely. So I am now down to a 38D. 2 years ago I was a 42DD. Now that's progress. In the bad news department, our county is in a water emergency due to a 50" water main break several towns away. Water has to be boiled until they fix the pipe next week. We were without water last night for about 5 hours. I'm glad it is back on so that we can take showers and use the toilets. Water has to be boiled before we can use it for dishes, cooking and even brushing our teeth. They don't know when the pipe will be fixed or when we will be notified that the emergency is over. I went to the store and bought several gallons of water for cooking plus spring water in sports bottles. Hopefully that will hold out until we are notified that we can use the water again. We forgot to get paper/plastic plates & silverware so I will do that later. We need to find some food that does not require a ton of water during preparation. What a pain. |

Thanks Kim. We have water again but we have to boil it for 1 minute or use
bottled water. I was lucky and found lots of bottled water. I might just start buying it more often. Coffee made with bottled water tastes so much better. The good news this is Great News. Nice work, Laura. Fitting into a
smaller size bra makes such difference in attitude, doesn't it? I hope the woter emergency doesn't last too long. "Willow" wrote in message ... Good about being back on track.. Thanks and it feels good. We have water problem every summer on the Island.. it's a PAIN.. hopefully they'll repair it fast enough.. The news last night said that we only needed to boil water until today. I guess they were able to patch the pipe Friday night once they found the leak. Finding the leak took sometime. First we just had little or no water pressure and then they turned the water off completely to secure or by-pass the broken pipe. Hopefully we won't lose water again when they reroute the water flow. |

Ah, the bad news could be worse, but the good news is great!

"Fred" wrote in message ... I guess I missed replying when I first read this (when that was!!!). I was wondering why you did not reply earlier. I was afraid you were mad at me for some unknown reason. Glad to see that is not the case. Great loss. Hope you continue in this vein. Sounds like the water is back which is nice. We are so reliant on modern conveniences. When my furnace went out last month I was not a happy "camper" and I do camp!!! Thank you. Hopefully things will continue. Only time will tell. Yeah, water is back. I did find that I really prefer bottled water to town water. Maybe we'll buy it more often. g The worst I have ever dealt with was Hurricane Bob in MA back in 91 (or 92) when we had no power for 6 days. I had 2 small kids to entertain while DH and DSS cleaned up the fallen trees at my folks house. It was very difficult explaining to our downs kid that there was no TV. she just did not want to believe me. Now my computer has lost its major drive. At first the entire system would not reboot. Critical error from which there was NO recovery. After a day of trying stuff. I unplugged the second drive and it booted but lots of stuff was on that larger drive. Oh, well. I don't know if the stress helped or hurt the weight!!!! Have you a good computer place that you could take the machine to? Sometimes they have tools/utilities that we don't have that might be able to get access to that drive even just long enough to back it up. I lost my hard drive this summer. I was lucky that I had some (not much) warning and got it to the computer shop before it was toast. They got all my stuff backed up and replaced it. I was without my primary machine for 4 days. I'm lucky that I always have access to a spare pc most of the time. On Sat, 09 Apr 2005 17:03:16 GMT, "Laura" wrote: The body seems to be cooperating this week. Down 1.2 to 176.8.
