I wonder if drinking sugary stuff is worse than eating sugary stuff. My dentist said he barely saved some of my sister's teeth, they were so bad, and that it was because of the Cokes and Starbucks Frappuchino drinks. That's all she drinks all day, no plain water at all. So, her teeth are basically being bathed in sugar all day long, and she forgets to brush her teeth some days too. -- Michelle Levin http://www.mindspring.com/~lunachick I have only 3 flaws. It's also acid in the sodas, which supposedly helps the sugar get a grip. -- Bob in CT Remove ".x" to reply |

Perhaps...I was never a really big sweet drink drinker, though I did drink coke and fruit juices....but I quit that a many years ago and decided to eat my poison....I prefer to chew and savior it, and liquids just never have done it for me. So it could be some else in the drinks and a combination of weak teeth, somehow. I have never forgotten to brush my teeth, though I haven't always done so multiple times a day. |

Losing teeth are also affected by carbs (sugars) adhering to the teeth
and allowing bacteria and other things to thrive. It is also greatly affected by ones nutritional status. Vitamin C deficiency shows up as bleeding gums and gum disease in general. A high carb diet is usually deficient in C. Grains contain NO vitamin C. TC "FOB" wrote in message .com... Keep going more regularly. Most people lose their teeth not from cavities but from gum disease which comes from plaque buildup. In , Luna stated | Today I went to the dentist for the first time in 6 years.
