Default NYNY week 10 -- Prairie Roots

My current weight: 168 lbs
Weight change since my last recorded weight: -2.8 lbs
Total weight change to date: -64 lbs

Despite my cookie and ice cream/self-pity binge earlier this week, the
scale gods tricked me. With today's WI, I knocked off 4 of the 5
mini-goals that were supposed to get me through the holidays: to have
25 lbs to WW goal (170); to drop into the next decade down (169.8); my
3rd 10% target (169); and my NYNY goal (168.6). Frankly, although I'm
very pleased with today's WI, I'm also in shock.

If the scale had shown a gain this week, I'd know what to do: buckle
down again, get serious, keep going, understand what happened to cause
the gain, forgive myself, move on. But instead the scale showed a very
nice loss. And I'm freaking out.

I haven't been in the 160s since my kids were 5 years old, some 20
years ago. I'm 23 lbs from my WW goal weight. Can I get there? Can I
really do this?

I'm experiencing some of the same ideas I had early on when I didn't
believe the weight loss was real (I thought I was faking it!), and
doubted that I'd be able to stick with it. Despite the evidence
proving otherwise.

So here's my plan: I think I'll shower, eat breakfast, balance my
checkbook, get ready for my hair appt (getting some of the salt to
blend in better with the pepper), do some Christmas shopping, and
start getting my house ready for my holiday guests. Tomorrow I go to
my mom's to help her set up and decorate for Christmas.

In other words, now that I've dumped out the garbage (by unloading
here), I can get back to my regularly scheduled program.

Oh wow. I just chopped this because I felt exactly this way! For me the
trigger was the 170's because I had not seen them since my baby was a baby.
Can you get there! as Dora the explorer says "YES WE CAN!" Can you do this?
YES YOU CAN!! I am so so so so so happy for you this morning. And yeah.
Lots of weeks when I had a high point day or two, I showed great losses.
You also had some lower points days. This Works.

PR:

WOOHOO...good for you!!! You deserve the weight loss, you've been at it
a long time. One pity party doesn't discount your months of hard work.
Now you have the incentive to keep working at it.

What can I say, a nice person got a just reward. Congrats on meeting
all those goals in one-fell-swoop. Maybe you needed those extra
points this week which is why you craved that stuff and gave in? Who
knows. Or you ate too many points but in foods that were not as bad
as some others choices you could have made.

Enjoy the return of the pepper, Salty!

Have a great day/week floating on your results.
