You can find more information about resistant flours online than I
could possibly give you.

I think you're referring to insulin resistance, and those "flours"
that are supposedly less insulin resistant than others, but I can't
know for sure. Unless a person measures that resistance reqularly,
it's impossible to know for sure. Or what effect it's having on your
LDL levels, etc.

Yes, the low-carb pitas contain wheat gluten and some wheat flour.
I like them.

I like canollis, but I don't eat them anymore, because I know the harm
they cause. That's the whole point of eating low-carb, isn't it? To
avoid the foods that cause you to get fat, suffer health problems,
etc? Well, that's why *I* eat low-carb.

You can feel free not to eat them.

Thank you!

Yes, I choose not to eat wheat.

Period.

Works for me!

Thank you, a voice of reason. I've been here for more than

You just can't resist the straw-man argument, can you?

And now Dogman
has tried to extend that to testing the product's effect on your
LDL? I eat maybe 6 Carbquik pancakes a week and then
not even every week. How the
hell could anyone expect me to test for it's effect on LDL?

Easy, dumb****. Eat that way for a good 90 days, then have an NMR test
(a test you *should* want to have done anyway).

Is your LDL particle number (LDL-P) low? Or high?

You should want to know this number anyway!

If it's high, and you are deemed "discordant" (a strong predictor of
CHD) you should stop eating wheat for 90 days and then get retested.

Carbquik has been an accepted product used by many of
us LC folks here for years.

You mean like margarine was once an "accepted" product?

Tip: Most "LC folks" aren't.

Dogman is a loon, with a bug up his ass about drug companies,
food companies, established medicine, conspiracy theories, etc.

No, I'm just interested in the Scientific Method.

And if all this nonsense is what he want to spread here,
maybe it's time to consider the effect it will have on people
choosing to do LC.

Well, it might actually educate them, if they are educable.

But you, as a bona fide doofus, by definition, are uneducable.

I for one, am having none of it.

Exactly!

Sure, like eating a few ounces of Carbquik a week is
going to show up in a blood test for LDL or that any such
experiment with a sample size of one, no controls, etc
is going to be meaningful. But it further shows that
your knowledge of science and medicine is very limited and
why anything you have to say is not to be trusted.

And again, to claim this level of ridiculous testing is
required for those of us who choose to use a product
like Carbquik, just makes LC seem extreme and
impractical for people considering doing it.

I use Carbquik. I like it. It works for me. Lots of
others have used it over the years I've been on the
newsgroup too. Now, because one fine day you show
up, suddenly we're supposed to go get blood work done
to monitor Carbquik?

Amazing, but not amazing from you....

Look, I agree with you now, after giving it a lot of thought.

I don't think YOU should ever have anything tested, and especially not
your IQ (some things are better left unsaid).

No blood pressure testing, no cholesterol testing, no blood counts,
don't even take your freakin' temperature! NO TESTING! Period. Just
keep on keepin' on, until one day, you...just...stop...keepin'...on.

Make Darwin proud.

Now, because one fine day you show

Of course that was never the issue and you know it. The issue was
you claimed that if I choose to use some Carbquik, I need to do
LDL testing on myself to measure it's effect. That is one more
excellent view into your knowledge of science. Like a few ounces
a week of Carbquik in a diet composed of 99% other food, is going
to show up conclusively in LDL bloowork. And with a sample size
of 1.

Now that folks is good for a laugh.

Smart? You're the guy who claims:

HIV isn't the cause of AIDS
HIV is harmless
AIDS is caused by poor diet and lack of sleep
No virus can cause cancer
HPV isn't a cause of cervical cancer.

Everyone can judge for themselves.

Anything else you want to add to your list of shame today?
