Almond flour
Shock of shocks, but this stuff costs a king's ransom. DW (also LC)
picked up a pound for $11 today at an Indian food store in Manhattan... Anyone know how to make this from almonds, without it turning to butter? Do you mill it? Frank Lynch The Samuel Johnson Sound Bite Page is at: http://www.samueljohnson.com/ |

The price is NOTHING like that IIRC. -- Jean B., 12 miles west of Boston, Massachusetts, USA |

I was told you can just put it in a food processor

Almond flour
There is a Whole Foods right up the street from me, and I have shopped there
for YEARS, but I have never once seen almond flour there! :-( However their freshly made almond butter is wonderful! Debbie "Jean B." wrote in message ... Eeeek. Don't you have a Whole Foods nearby? The price is NOTHING like that IIRC. |

Almond flour
In my experimentations I've found you can make a somewhat chunky almond
"meal" in a food processor, but if you try to grind it as fine as flour you end up with almond butter instead. As others have already posted, I also use a coffee grinder to make almond flour. Debbie "wen" ( Remove NOSPAM) to send) wrote in I was told you can just put it in a food processor |
