Default Kristin' Update - Long, rambling, mushy too (beware!)

Hi all!

Yikes, I haven't done that much of a catch-up in awhile. Sorry about
clogging up the newsgroup with "Kristins". Here's an update:

I didn't weigh-in on the 13th because it was the first day of my new job and
I was stressy and I just didn't feel like I should. So I will definitely
weigh-in on the 20th. As for the new job, here's the details. (I already
posted this to a yahoogroup so I'm just going to cut and paste it).

Okay, so I don't think I've told very many people this news but on the 13th
I started a new job at a print-on-demand company called iUniverse. I LOVE
IT! The people are more than eager to help in any way possible and the work
sounds so EXCITING! It's neat to be part of an author's publishing process!
I'm already assigned 22 different books!

What I do, in a nutshell, is process new submissions and prep their info
(with html tags, etc) for sending to the design office which is in Shanghai.
I'm kind of the account manager/main contact for each other so if they have
problems or questions they contact me. The woman training me has 150 some
files in her workload right now. Crazy! The job is SO COOL! Oh and the best
part is that I have flex hours! I can come whenever I can and as long as I
get in my 40 hours a week she doesn't care if I have an appt to get to or
what. My boss is the coolest too, she and her husband are the presidents of
the Wildlife Rescue Team here in Lincoln and they live on a farm and have 5
dogs and 10 cats. If you know me, you know how much I love animals so we get
along famously!

If you want to check out the website it's at http://www.iUniverse.com

Apparently our company is the most successful POD company according to
Barnes & Noble. Isn't that COOL? Most of the books they order for their
customers were created at iU. Neato. Oh, Amy Fisher published a book through
us in September and I got my very own copy as a "welcome" gift. LOL Yay me!

Today when we got to work we had a Christmas stocking on our desks chock
full of goodies. AND we had a holiday potluck, and a white elephant gift
exchange game (SOOOO FUN), and finally we each got a 12 pound TURKEY!!!! How
cool is that??!!

I definitely picked a great place to apply at because I feel like I'm right
at home already. I LOVE IT!

---
So as far as WW goes I pretty much ate whatever I wanted to this week I
know I know, I have noooo willpower whatsoever. And potlucks are the death
of me! So we'll see how it goes. I for sure don't have any excuse come
January 1, but I'm going to try my hardest to keep the weight down until
year's end. Wow, 2005. I can't believe it.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for being here. I joined this
newsgroup on January 9, 2002. Wow. Almost 3 whole years. It doesn't seem
possible does it? Anyway, thanks to each and every one of your for your
support and seeing me through my ups and downs, and ups again. Hopefully
2005 will be kind to me and I will be sexy and healthy and at goal before I
turn 30 on June 4, 2006. That will be my goal! Ok, you are all my witnesses
and I hope and pray to God that he will give me the strength to do it this
time. And to NOT revert to my old habits again. I can DO this! I only have
my health at stake.

Thanks for listening to me and I do wish you and your's a happy, healthy
holiday season!

Wow, Kristin, that sounds like a really great job. I'd
love to do something like that.

And good luck to you in 2005. You *can* do it.

WoW, that sounds like an exciting place to work. Good luck hanging in there
until 2005. Then I think all of us will get serious again about losing
weight. Its just too hard during the holidays.

I LOVE IT!

So cool you got a job you like. It is all very exciting, you will get where
you want if you don't quit, and I think 3 years means you haven't quit, good
for you, Lee

Hi all!

Yikes, I haven't done that much of a catch-up in awhile. Sorry about
clogging up the newsgroup with "Kristins". Here's an update:

I didn't weigh-in on the 13th because it was the first day of my new job

and
I was stressy and I just didn't feel like I should. So I will definitely
weigh-in on the 20th. As for the new job, here's the details. (I already
posted this to a yahoogroup so I'm just going to cut and paste it).

Okay, so I don't think I've told very many people this news but on the
