Atkins Shakes
I know you all are into really healthy wholesome foods, rather than
processed or nasty Atkins packaged stuff, but do any of you drink the Atkins Shakes? And if so, do you have them as snacks or what? Which flavors are palatable? Do they interfere with weight loss? Info, please! Thanks, Kathy B 185/148/135 |

Atkins Shakes
Hi!
I use the vanilla shake and bring it with me in a thermos to work (eight hour shift). I found it not so tasty so I mix some ground cinnamon with it and it has improved the flavor for me. I use it as a snack during the day. Diane |

I drink the "chocolate royale" which, to me, tastes just like the "Bordens" brand chocolate milk that you get out of the dairy case. It has a very deep, rich, chocolate taste. Keep them cold in your fridge. I drink one in the evening on an occasional basis when I get to missing sweets. It seems to do the trick for me. No side effects in my case and doesn't effect my OWL. I like the strawberry and vanilla flavors. Since they don't have the sugar-alcohol content that the bars do, they usually don't interfere with weight loss/ketosis like the bars can for some people. I use them as either a snack or if my creative juices run dry wrt breakfast or lunch. I think I'll try Diane's suggestions about the cinnamon and try the vanilla too. Atkins Shakes
Since I am a on-the-run commuter I often have the shakes for breakfast. I
can normally get through to lunch without anything more but if I get hungry I get a couple eggs latter in the morning. Vanilla (1g carbs) or chocolate royale (2g) are my favorites. They are the only manufactured low-carb food I take in, all the better there are no sugar alcohols. The shakes are great for breakfast and they allow me to take my morning supplements without gastric problems. For starters they contain 850mg potassium, 20g protein, and 9g fat with only 2g carbs (6-4 fiber). Seattleburb spake thusly:
I know you all are into really healthy wholesome foods, rather than processed or nasty Atkins packaged stuff, but do any of you drink the Atkins Shakes? And if so, do you have them as snacks or what? Which flavors are palatable? Do they interfere with weight loss? Info, please! I've had them a few times, not too often though. I like the chocolate ones. When I do have them it's to use them as snacks and I don't think they interfere with my weight loss too much, if at all. -- Audio Bible Online: http://www.audio-bible.com/ |

Atkins Shakes
I drink them when I am not hungry but I know I need nutrition. (rarely
hungry on this wol). Sometimes I will have a couple of slices of cheese and meat along with a shake, I like Chocolate Royale. I also use Keto Shakes, I love the Banana Creme Pie flavor, 2 scoops, 8 oz water, cup of ice in the blender a creamy and satisfying banana shake. (The bananas for the kids on the counter constnatly call my name so this shuts them up!). I am still losing so do not notice any effect. Oh also the Cafe Latte ones with ice in the blender satisfy the craving for a specialty granita from a coffee house, I add some either White Chocolate DaVinci or Kahlua DaVinci syrup for a kick. Never more than 1 a day though or I will aviod my veges...bad, bad, bad! "Seattleburb" wrote in message om...
