Default Question for those who know about heart rate

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering--at Curves they have a board with target heart rate on it.
For my age my target rate is 22-25 while working out. This morning because
of the snow I did Sweatin to the Oldies 2 and when we did our heart rate for
the first time my rate was 28--higher than it would be at Curves. I skipped
the next song and brought my heart rate down to 22-25 and was able to keep
it there the rest of the tape. The question--should my heart rate have been
that high since I'm doing aerobics or do I need to "tone it down" when doing
a tape? Any help would be appreciated!!

Default Question for those who know about heart rate

I would think you should remain in the 22-25 range simply because if you are
over, they say you burn muscle. I think that may have been my problem
because I was always going OVER my target rate and maybe that's why I didn't
see very good results at Curves because I wasn't burning fat, but muscle? I
dunno. But anyway.. my target heart rate (the yellow and green numbers) is
19-23. Are you sure you are looking at the right colors on the chart? I'm
27 and I thought the numbers went lower as age goes higher?

Default Question for those who know about heart rate

I was told to look in the 70-80 range (I believe the colors are green and
blue but I'm not sure). We're supposed to shoot for the 70 range that's 22
for me and not go over 80 which is 25.
