Atkins '72

1) don't count calories

Atta boy Bob

2) eat as much of the allowed foods as you need to avoid hunger

Here's a typical Atkinsism, playing to the pocketbook (acceptance of his
book), the ole "let's not do anything that's uncomfortable" routine.

3) don't eat when you're not hungry

And don't flap your arms to help the airplane to takeoff.

4)don't feel you need to finish everything on your plate

One more for Bobby! Little too Albert Morris(y) for Mu...

"Feelings, wooh woooh, feelings...

5) drink as much water and calorie-free beverages as thirst requires, don't
restrict fluids, but don't force them either

What? But my doctor said "64 ounces each and every day......"

6) frequent small meals are preferable

Might work for some, never worked for Mu; it doesn't attack the single
most important problem many have...get food out of your life, quit
obsessing over it.

Preferable to what? Three a day? Probably, hey, Bobby, how about "Don't
eat but once a day?"

7) if weakness results from rapid weightloss, you may need salt

lol That's AtkinsScience at its best! You may need to get the hell out
of induction and get a clue there, Bobby. Moderate your intake more
slowly, say oh I dunno, 1/2 pound a week?

8) everyday take a high-strength, multi-vitamin pill

1972, hmmm, wonder if One-A-Day was a "contributor" to his research
funding.....

9) Read the labels on "low-calorie" drinks, syrups, and desserts. Only
those with no carbohydrate content are allowed

Here's another Atkinsism, wouldn't want to challenge the fact that junk,
crap food might need to be backburnered while one gets on with the real
tasks of weight loss. No, no, you're obese but let's eat all that
garbage that helped get you there in the first place.

As Bobby might say, "It's the carbs not you that is the problem. Eat,
eat, just drive out the Carb Satan!"

Robert Atkins is, was and always will be a fraud.

After four months and being an American in Taipei I never want to hear
´Oh your koala very cuteˇ ever again. If there is an off chance that if
I do encounter a koala, I may have to punch it in the face as a result.
Even a pretty koala looks ugly with a broken nose.
