Well, not bad but not good either.

UP: 1.2

A nice round: 160.0

Lesanne, this is your time - bask in it! (G)

And foolishly I went to Costco after the meeting. Bought lobster
chunks, dried mango (my downfall) and flourescent bulbs (G)

Oh, yes, the standard pickled herring, raw shrimp and this time,
catfish - we shall see how I like that stuff.

Catfish cooking suggestions - NOT DEEP FRIED!

Blanch finely sliced leek and carrots (juliennes)

Cut some non-stick backing paper to about twice the size of a piece of
fish (plus more, you need to form a pocket later)

Put fish on a piece of non-stick backing paper, put some of the
leek/carrots on top, sprinkle with white wine.

Add some butter with herbs mixed in if points allow for it.

Fold the excess paper over the fish and seal it using egg white.

Bake in the oven at 180 Celcius (360 Fahrenheit) for each 1,5 cm (0.5
inch) the fish is thick.

Enjoy
Marc

Thanks, Marc but, I think, you neglected the amount of time per
thickness (G)

Sounds simple and nice. Thanks.

Yeah, unless _I_ get too round.

Well, I've never had the lobster chunks before. Interesting, the
instructions say DO NOT THAW. Cook frozen. I will let you know.

Ahhhhhhhhh, weighing in with clothes - what a disadvantage (G)

Thanks for the recipe. Of course, this is Costco. I could have a
catfish feed for the Democratic Party - oppsss (G)

Regarding catfish. I cannot stand it unless it is fried, so what I do, is
mix up some cornmeal with a little flour, and some spices (a nice seafood
spice mix will do it, with about a tsp of sugar added) get it wet with
eggwhite, dip or shake it in the spiced cornmeal mix, let it sit a bit on a
rack, and then spray a nonstick pan, then add about a tablespoon of olive
oil for our two servings, and pan fry the rascals in that. Very very good,
and not really fried.
Catfish is so moist that other recipes are not all that great. Except
veracruz style, you make a stir fry of fresh tomato, onion and bell pepper,
cook that down with seasoning (again seafood mix of some kind and a pinch of
sweet) then add the catfish filets after the sauce is cooked to your liking,
for just a minute to cook it, serve over bulgar or brown rice.

Those Costco purchases sound low-point enough, especially the
fluorescent bulbs. You're asking about how to cook catfish; I wanna
know how you prepare bulbs! groan

Even with the slight up this week, "nice and round" is a better
description of circles than you-who-is-still-under-goal-fully-clothed.
One week up is NOT a trend.

Besides, you know what to do if you want to be DOWN next week.

The mango gets consumed like water (8x8 sounds about right!!!)

The bulbs - like fennel, I guess.

Yeah and a few of the weighees (g) today came in in shorts so I may be
back to that wardrobe, if necessary for WW altho, that is factored
into what I post here. It was about 40F and raining hard - it was
downright chilly and shorts were not my idea of fun, not today.

I have to do something with that catfish - besides separate out the
filets for freezing separately. But tonight I have to try that
lobster (G)

Yes, I have journaled the first half of the day but the mango was
gulped copiously and unmeasured!

Hmm. I'm interested in the lobster chunks. Do report on them please.

How's your water intake? The herring is pretty salty and I retain water
from herring like mad.
