Non-dairy non-soy fast breakfasts
Don't discount tofu then. Seasoned properly it can be very tasty. Look for
some seasoned soy products. They can be good as the real thing sometimes. "JulieB" wrote in message ... No soy because I don't like the taste I will have to investigate scrambled egg options - poached and boiled are getting boring.... Thanks Laura. -- Julie. 93.5/72.3/74 (WW)/72 (Personal) kg 205.7/159.0/162.8 (WW)/158 (Personal) lb Here's our FAQ: http://www.didian.com/asdww/ and welcome notice: http://www.geocities.com/welcomenotice/index.html "Laura" wrote in message ... Let's see... Peanut butter on toast breakfast bar scrambled eggs Just out of curiosity, why no soy? "JulieB" wrote in message ... I went to see a naturopath last week, just for something different to do. I'm not entirely convinced I believe everything she said, but I figured no harm can come from giving some things a try. Amongst the things she recommended is that I should minimise dairy. I liked the idea as it might help with the constant nasal drip I have too. I can substitute the cheese at lunch with tinned salmon (gets in my fish, and calcium with the bones), and the yoghurt for afternoon tea with some almonds and dried fruit. But I'm having trouble coming up with a replacement for cereal and milk in the mornings. I can do baked beans on toast, and boiled or poached eggs. After that I'm stuck. I don't like soy milk (or any other soy product) either, so that cuts out some other options. Anyone got any other ideas for some variety? It needs to happen in 5 minutes or less - I don't want to have to wake up half an hour earlier just to get breakfast ready! It's winter here too - warm things are good -- Julie. 93.5/72.3/74 (WW)/72 (Personal) kg 205.7/159.0/162.8 (WW)/158 (Personal) lb Here's our FAQ: http://www.didian.com/asdww/ and welcome notice: http://www.geocities.com/welcomenotice/index.html |

My favorite and is quick and easy is 2 rice cakes spread with peanut butter.
Gives me the crunch and also gets the protein in with the peanut butter. I have found the rice cakes to be more filling that toast. Debbie "JulieB" wrote in message ... Non-dairy non-soy fast breakfasts
I just remembered another thing I like that is fairly quick. Not sure if
they are available in your part of the world though. I take 2 veggie breakfast sausages and heat them in the microwave, then take and egg and stir it up for scramble. When the sausages are partly heated I crumble them in the egg and microwave the two together. It makes a hearty sausage and egg scramble and it quite tasty. It comes in at about 3 points for the two sausages and the one egg. Debbie "Deb in Northern California" wrote in message ... Now add a 1 point english muffin for a egg & sausage sandwich for a total of
4 points. -- Laura "Deb in Northern California" wrote in message ... I just remembered another thing I like that is fairly quick. Not sure if they are available in your part of the world though. I still wish we could find 1 point English Muffins in my area, but they do not
seem to exist. Oh well, 2 point 100% whole wheat is the next best option I guess. g Joyce On Fri, 23 Jul 2004 14:15:25 GMT, "Laura" wrote: Now add a 1 point english muffin for a egg & sausage sandwich for a total of 4 points. -- Laura "Deb in Northern California" wrote in message ... The WW brand of breads has not hit your area yet?
